On the morning of August 19, at Hanoi Station, the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) officially introduced the “Hanoi 5 Gates Tourist Train”, also known as “The Hanoi Train.”
Inspired by the ancient beauty of Thang Long Citadel, each carriage is named after one of Hanoi’s five historic city gates: O Cau Den, O Quan Chuong, O Cau Giay, O Cho Dua, and O D**g Mac. These names not only recall the thousand-year heritage of the capital but also symbolize the cultural legacy of the Red River Delta.
The “Hanoi 5 Gates” train is expected to begin operation in September 2025, with 3 trips daily at 8:00, 14:00, and 20:30.
📍 The daytime journey (Hanoi – Tu Son) will take passengers from Hanoi Station, across the historic Long Bien Bridge, through the Old Quarter and suburban villages, before arriving at Tu Son Station (Bac Ninh).
