How’s the faces!
Make sure you time your trip to Da Nang with Friday or Saturday night. On these nights the incredible Dragon bridge comes to life and breathes Fire and Water.

Not many of you will know but Steph actually lived in Da Nang for 12 months in 2022/23 so our trip there was a bit like coming home. It has definitely changed a lot but we still made it to some of her favourites. Amazing Bahn Xeo, cruising along the beach, visiting friends and even swing by her old house.

Hue | Vietnam

Hue’s Imperial City is an impressive citadel and was the former imperial capital of Vietnam during the Nguyễn dynasty until 1945. It has stunning architecture and definitely gives off some strong Disney Mulan vibes, definitely not the same culture but you can see links with the neighbouring Chinese architectural styles. It was easy to imagine what life was like in its hay day.

The entrance ticket is 200,000 VND per adult or about $13 AUD and we spent hours exploring the citadel. You can opt for a guided tour or there is an audio tour option as well. In hindsight we probably should have opted for the audio tour to find out a little more about the buildings but we got plenty of info from all the information boards so it’s not a necessity.

Hanoi | Vietnam

The Note Coffee in Hanoi is the perfect location to sip on the viet speciality Egg coffee and watch the buzz of the city. Easy to find situated on the corner of the Hoan Kiem Lake in old quarter this super cute cafe is definitely worth the visit.

We left a couple of messages on the walls for our favourite people, see if you can find them when you visit.

Mekong Delta | Vietnam

Sunsets on the Mekong river.

We loved our day trip to the chu chi tunnels but our favourite part of the day was cruising along the Mekong. The food basket of Vietnam it is lush and full of tropical fruits and coconuts, absolute heaven.

Saigon | Vietnam

Stupid happy to back in the tropics.

We love the Saigon is full of parks. The lush green spaces are such a contrast to the busy chaos of the cit. They are also so much cooler and was nice to take a break and chill while exploring the city on foot. We were a sweaty mess by the end of the day.

Waterfall way | QLD

Do go chasing waterfalls! Along the waterfalls way. This circuit has 3 of North Queenslands best waterfalls all with minutes of each other. Definitely worth the drive. Milla Milla, Zillow and Ellinjaa Falls all have their own unique beauty make sure you visit all three.

Milla Milla Falls | QLD

We were lucky enough to have this all to ourselves on a beautiful misty morning on the Atherton Tablelands. Milla Milla is the first of 3 waterfalls on the Waterfall Circuit and is in our opinion one of the best of Aus. East to find a beautiful refreshing swim in the tropical heat. Definitely worth the trip

Port Douglas | QLD

It’s been a while instagram but I’m finally getting around to posting the last part of our lap. It felt so final bringing these last photos to the grid but this is our digital version of a scrapbook so it would be wrong to leave them out and what better spot to jump back than Thala Beach. This Insta worthy spot is super easy to find, you drive past it on the way into Port Douglas.

Time for a bit of a sappy personal post sorry guys but 4 years ago today we sealed the deal on forever and it’s been a wild ride. It’s an incredible life we have built, it hasn’t been easy but it has been worth it. Stay tuned for the next update on our adventures, we have been on a bit of break and need to catch up on some pics from the last while. Can’t wait to share what we have been planning.

Limmen NP | NT

The Southern Lost City

This easily accessible spot is a great spot to pull up for the night, watch the sunset over the formation and get up early to explore in the cooler morning air.

We can’t believe how great the campsites were. Great facilities even raised swag platforms to keep you out of the dirt, they make perfect picnic spots as well. You may be remote but NT parks know what they are doing!

Definitely put Limmen NP on your list and don’t forget you Drone permit, super easy to get online 😊

Just a man and his car and some pretty epic rocks

Limmen National Park is definitely off the beaten track but well worth the trip. It is a great alternative to the Barkly Highway if you are heading east to QLD. This is true gulf country but the national park camps are well equipped and maintained.

The western lost city is well worth exploring, we popped into the ranger hut a few km’s east of the gate to get the access code. After that it is and hour to an hour and a half drive in to get to this epic formation. We explore the area and found some incredible rock art. Best of all we had the place to ourselves
