It’s a new year & a reintroduction is needed—

We’re Marka, Jamesha, & Asher — together we are Memories with the Mannings 🤍
In the past, we’ve used this space to share family moments, couple travel, marriage, and lifestyle content, creating memories right alongside you. Life called for a pause when Jamesha stepped back to focus on her studies, and that season was exactly what we needed.
Now we’re excited to share that Jamesha has officially graduated and is now an MSW 🎓✨
With that chapter complete, we’re ready to find our way back into this space, reconnect, and start creating again.

The resilience of those who came before me fuels my drive. Their endurance is my why.”

When I think about all that my lineage has endured, I’m reminded of my purpose—this is my why.As a medical social worker, I’ve walked alongside women transitioning from victim to survivor in human-trafficking situations. I’ve advocated fiercely in cases of child and elder abuse. I’ve supported NICU babies and new mothers withdrawing from substances. I’ve helped r**e survivors, individuals battling substance use, and stroke patients secure insurance, housing, and the resources they need to reclaim stability.I’ve advocated to doctors, nurses, specialists, and administrators—even coordinated care plans with the CEO & CFO of the hospital—to ensure patients received the dignity and care they deserved.
I was originally accepted to complete my MSW program in 2 years.. I did it in 1. Therefore, no department can ever tell me my degree isn’t “professional.” My scope, my lens, and my compassion are deeply needed across every setting.
This is my work, my purpose, and my why.

Found my lane and stayed in it.. that’s why y’all never see me

I’m an Earth Day baby & it makes sense because all I ever desire to do is travel this world 🌎 I’m blessed 🥹 Grateful that God allowed me to see 30 healthy! My family is amazing, my career is flourishing, & I’m doing what I truly love to do. I remember being a kid watching College Hill Virgin Island 😂 & to be here and bring in my is a blessing! It cant go down from here because my family, friends, husband, clients, & most importantly God won’t allow me! It’s only up from here 🥂

Making the World his playground 🌎💙

Happy 7th Birthday Son! From Disney World last year to Disney Cruise this year. This has been one for the books! We spent Asher’s birthday/Spring Break on a Disney Cruise! This specific Disney Cruise included the Marvel Day at Sea so he got to meet so many marvel characters on top of all the classic Disney characters! Asher got to experience Cozumel, Mexico and we surprised him with UTV rides. He also went to Disney private island in the Bahamas! 😊 Here’s to more family traveling 😌

I just have to take a moment to shout my own self out! It’s March 1! March start Women History Month & Social Work Month!

I’ve been a social worker for almost 5 years! Over those 5 years I’ve progressed and had a few different roles and titles. I love how my title is versatile and I can work in any field! Currently I’m in medical. I’m not gone lie… Medical Social Work is challenging but I’ve learned so much! I’ve help so many people in my city make life change decisions & I’m glad to be apart of their journey. Often times in medical, we’re over looked because you have Medical docters and nurses that attempt to overshadow but if you know me then you know I advocate for every one of my clients! ❤️

I’ve been out of school for almost 5 years. Working & traveling! I’m ready to return! A sweet surprise today was waking up & finding my first acceptance letter to the MSW program! It’s only up from here 💙
