We at the Yuma Police Department have had a lot happen in the last few years since Covid. One question we get all of the time "Who is on the force now?" So for the next few weeks we are going to introduce the Yuma Police Officers.

Starting with Sergeant, Investigator, Interim Chief of Police Curtis Witte. Witte started his Police service in 2007 when he graduated from the Colorado POST academy. In 2015 he became a member of the Yuma Police Department. In that time he has been building an impressive resume of investigation classes and courses as well as multiple leadership academies. These include, but are not limited to the FBI- Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) leadership courses as well as being a member of the National Tactical Officers Association.

With all of this leadership development and schooling Interim Chief Witte has been guiding the Yuma Police Department as a Sergeant since 2019 and as Interim Chief since earlier this year. He also encourages in house development by serving as one of the police departments driving, fi****ms, and active shooter instructors.

We at Yuma Police Department would like to thank Interim Chief Witte for his continued leadership and service. Next week we will introduce another of our leadership team.
