Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas on a 4- night itinerary from Bayonne New Jersey to Halifax Nova Scotia: Excellent choice for a short multi-gen getaway from mid-Atlantic area!

The Independence had a little something for everyone, great dining and entertainment and plenty of space to spread out during its two at sea days! Our Dining staff was superb and made our mealtimes truly enjoyable!

We brought my in-laws and enjoyed our days playing games, watching unique shows, dining in the Windjammer and the main dining rooms, and strolling the promenade. I think my favorite was the acapella group Mo5aic - absolutely unreal beat boxing!

Our one port stop was Halifax Nova Scotia where we got a shot of the Canadian coast in its foggy surreal glory. We went to picturesque Peggy’s Cove where we saw the lighthouse, explored and shopped.

On this sailing it was especially helpful to have the Key which gave us extra amenities like priority embarkation/disembarkation, Voom WiFi, welcome lunch and goodbye breakfast and reserved seating for the shows. This was a great add on for our seniors!
