I have to say that when I was a kid, my parents gave me two extremely important things. The first thing was an active imagination. I would sit and play with LEGOs for hours on end. I was recently able to introduce Wendy to the thrill, and it was a lot of fun. The second thing was knowledge. One year, my mother bought for me the Time Life: Epic of Flight. Over 20 volumes of the history of flight, complete with some of the nicest illustrations I had ever seen. A new one would arrive each month in the mail, and it seemed like an endless wait for the next one. For some reason this memory popped into my head last week, and I went to the repository of forgotten items...eBay. I found a nice man who sold me the entire collection for $14. They arrived today, and I can’t wait to set about re-reading them!
As a side note, I realized about 20 minutes after I paid for them that my mom might still have my old collection in storage 😳🤣
