Aero Global Logistics as a third-party logistics provider has openings for full-time night shift dock associates as a part of our expanding business footprint in one of our Wi******er, VA centers.
Job Description: Efficiently sort, handle, load, and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate manual equipment, pallet jacks, and by hand as needed.
Dock associates will also be tasked with securing freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company mandated safety procedures.
Job Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and demonstrate basic written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to process basic math calculations.
Employees must have a valid driver’s license and or reliable transportation to work. Candidates must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends due to varying freight volumes.
Ability to lift freight and other objects up to 50 lbs. frequently, and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally is required.
Preferred experience: Prior dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry, as well as prior forklift experience, experience loading, and unloading trailers, and a desire to work in a team atmosphere a must.
