Farewell, Skyliner people. It felt like the longest red light in history. I hate leaving Disney. Can you relate?

Did I fool them? They always harass me for some reason when I visit the planet of Batuu. Oh, and I was totally transmitting on my data pad 🀣

Beach season is here, and I want to take a minute to share something important because it hits close to home. We have already had a person go missing in the ocean near Topsail Beach, and ocean rescues have happened recently at Carolina Beach and other nearby areas. Please read this before you head out.

What is a rip current?
It is a narrow, fast-moving channel of water pulling away from shore. It does not pull you under. It pulls you out, and it moves faster than most people can swim against it.

How to spot one:
Look for a gap in the breaking waves where the water looks calmer, darker, or choppier than the water around it. That "calm" patch is often the current. Debris or foam moving steadily away from shore is another sign.

What to do if you get caught in one:
Do not panic and do not fight it by swimming straight back to shore. You will exhaust yourself. Float, stay calm, and swim parallel to the shoreline until you are out of the current. Then angle back toward the beach. If you need help, wave your arms and call out.

What to do if you see someone else in trouble:
Do not go in after them without a flotation device. Throw them something that floats, a boogie board, a cooler, a pool noodle, and call 911 immediately.

Always swim near a lifeguard when possible and check the surf conditions before you go in. The ocean is not a pool, and even strong swimmers can get caught off guard.
Stay safe out there this summer. 🌊

Nobody talks about this and they should.
If you are in perimenopause and planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, the heat, the walking, the crowds, and the unpredictable schedule can hit completely differently than they used to. It is not in your head and it does not mean you cannot go.
It just means you need to plan smarter.
In this reel I am sharing some of the practical things that actually help so you can enjoy every single day in the parks without running on empty by noon.
Because this trip matters and so do you.
If this is your year for Disney, I would love to help you plan it right.
