Did you know?
An Teallach, one of Scotland’s most iconic mountain ranges, is over 1 billion years old, formed from ancient Torridonian sandstone that predates most life on Earth.
Its name means “The Forge” or “The Anvil” in Gaelic — a nod to its dramatic ridges and jagged pinnacles that look like they were carved by fire and iron.
Despite its fierce appearance, only two of its peaks are officially Munros, Sgùrr Fiona and Bidean a’ Ghlas Thuill… yet many hikers agree the entire ridge feels like walking the spine of a dragon.
