3 weeks until Halloween! 🎃 👻

I love kicking off October with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

The party actually starts in August and runs through October, but I like going in early October because it feels more like Halloween season to me — while still getting the benefit of a slightly lower ticket price than the closer-to-Halloween dates.

Did anyone else go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary this year? Or are you planning to go in the next few weeks leading up to Halloween?

The energy at this party is so much fun, but what makes it repeatable is that you simply can't do everything in one party night.

Each year that I've attended, I've focused on a different priority:

🎢 Rides: wait times can be extremely low during the party
🤗 Character meet and greets: with exclusive characters and costumes, those lines can be extremely long
🍫 🍬 Trick or treating: get unlimited candy all night!
💃🏻 🎆 Back-to-back entertainment: dance parties, the parade, stage show, and fireworks
🪄 📸 Getting special photos and "Magic Shots"
👸🏻 🧙🏻 Wearing different costumes: One year I'm a princess, another year I'm a villain, another year I'm a lovable sidekick... the possibilities are endless!

That’s why I keep going back. It can be a completely different experience every time.

THIS. WAS. SO. COOL!!!

I finally did the Wild Africa Trek tour behind (and above!) the scenes at Animal Kingdom, and WOW - it did not disappoint. 😀 👏🏻 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Disney describes this experience: "Walk along a grassland path, cross a rope bridge and ride in a rugged safari vehicle over an open savanna—with a chance to view African creatures including towering giraffes, powerful rhinos, hippos and crocodiles. Along your journey, your knowledgeable guide will share insights about the majestic animals you’re viewing, as well as details about the park’s dedication to animal conservation."

In true Disney fashion, they make this experience as realistic as possible while simultaneously as magic as possible. I will admit, I have a pretty significant fear of being up high... especially near edges. I was unsure how my body was going to instinctively react to crossing those suspension bridges. But it was totally fine. (For those of you who share a similar fear, it looks much scarier in pictures than it actually is in real life.)

ANNIVERSARY POST! 🥳

In September 2025, on my way home from another trip to Disneyland Paris, I made a decision to start a new chapter and I joined Pixie Travel . I can't believe it's already been a year! And I'm so excited for another year with this fantastic, supportive team. 🧚🏻‍♀️

2027 will bring me to even more - and even farther - Disney destinations, including Disney Cruises 🛳 and Disney's Aulani Resort in Hawaii! 🌺

As much as I love to travel and gather the best intel for all of you, I'm equally appreciative of everyone who has trusted me to make their vacation dreams come true. I have clients heading to Disney, Universal, Royal Caribbean cruises, Virgin Voyages, and a LOT of people heading to Alaska! 🏔

If you thought Royal Caribbean having "Chief Dog Officers" 🐶🛳️ onboard their ships was cool, you're going to be blown away by today's news...

Royal Caribbean is buying HALF (yes, 50% ownership) of Sandals & Beaches Resorts! 😲

What does this mean for future Royal Caribbean vacations? Royal Caribbean plans to seamlessly blend its cruise itineraries with land-based resort stays. For example, future itineraries may offer "Cruise and Stay" packages that include a cruise with Royal Caribbean and a stay at Sandals or Beaches... giving you a continuous all-inclusive vacation on land AND at sea! 🏖️🍹

I haven't even made it to Royal Caribbean's new Royal Beach Clubs yet, and they're already announcing another huge expansion in their vacation offerings. I mean, WOW! Royal Caribbean is making moves! Or should I say, making WAVES 🌊😉

(Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is first on my list, and Royal Beach Club Santorini is the DREAM!)

Now that everyone is a couple weeks into the school year, who's thinking about school breaks? 🙋🏻‍♀️

As we gear up for school break season at Disney, it's critical to know how to book and use ⚡ Lightning Lanes ⚡ before and during your vacation.

My top 5 tips BEFORE you book your Lightning Lanes include:

1️⃣ Do not book anything or “Add to My Day” before you book Lightning Lanes unless it is absolutely necessary. Disney will not allow you to have a Lightning Lane reservation overlap with another existing dining, entertainment, or any other reservation, and when you are trying to book your Lightning Lanes, you won’t be able to modify the other reservation.
2️⃣ Use “Genie” service at least 1-2 days in advance to select your top 3 preferred rides in each park. This will help those rides appear at the top of the list when you go to book Lightning Lanes. (Otherwise, the rides will appear in alphabetical order – and those extra seconds spent scrolling to “R” and “S” rides could end up costing you a better time slot.)
3️⃣ Set alarms the night before and no later than 6:30 am on the day when you’re eligible to make Lightning Lane reservations.
4️⃣ At 6:30 am, uninstall and re-install the My Disney Experience app. You will need to log back into the app after you re-install it, so make sure you leave extra time for this.
5️⃣ Grab any Lightning Lane time Disney gives you, as long as it’s within reason. You can always look for new times to modify later – but the times that Disney gives you at 7 am that day will be gone after 5 minutes.

I have even more tips for maximizing Lightning Lanes while you're in the parks. And if you book your Disney trip with me, I'll even join you for 1 day in the parks to help you with your Lightning Lanes in real time! 🪄🧚🏻‍♀️

✨A new *Disney First* for me!✨ I just booked the Wild Africa Trek experience at Animal Kingdom! I've seen guests walking across suspended rope bridges and getting up close with animals while I was riding through Kilimanjaro Safaris, and always said "Someday I'll do that..." 🐊🦛🦓🦒

Well, "someday" is now on the calendar!

I absolutely love Disney's Enchanting Extras experiences. I've done several of them over the years, including Savor the Savanna at Animal Kingdom, the Starlight Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and of course, the highly-coveted Keys to the Kingdom tour at Magic Kingdom where guests go behind the scenes - and underground - to learn all sorts of Disney secrets!

I also have some special experiences planned at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort for the holiday season later this year. 🎄

These Enchanting Extras really take your Disney experience to a VIP level. I highly recommend every single one that I've done. And I love talking about them! So, don't hesitate to reach out if you want to learn more.
