Hi everyone,

With a strong coastal storm expected to impact New England, we wanted to send a quick heads-up to everyone with a boat in Wellfleet Harbor.

If your boat is still in the water, please keep an eye on conditions and, if possible, check on your vessel ahead of and during the storm. With the potential for strong winds and rough conditions, it’s a good time to make sure lines, moorings, covers, and other gear are secure.

I know many boats are already out of the water, so this may not apply to everyone on the list—but I wanted to make sure those who are still afloat are aware and have the storm on their radar.

Stay safe, and hopefully we all come through it without any issues.

Visitors and mariners launching boats will notice the new high quality floats that we've installed next to the launch ramp. We're grateful to our partners at the Massachusetts Department of Fishing & Game, Office of Fishing & Boating Access for working with us to secure a grant to fund these new facilities. We're making steady progress in our efforts to enhance Wellfleet's marina infrastructure and services to meet industry standards.

Here at the Harbormaster’s Department, we love the dogs! We do our best to keep them happy—and to keep the Mutt Mitt containers stocked.

Please remember to take one Mitt when needed so there are enough for everyone. Unfortunately, we have seen a few people on multiple occasions pull up in a vehicle and take the entire supply.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the Mutt Mitts available for everyone who needs them.

Please pick up after your pooch and help keep the Harbor safe and clean! Thank you!

Hello Wellfleet slip holders! Because we are still in the process of hiring a company to fix the electricity supplying the slips, we have turned off all of the electric supplying slip holders shore power.

We realize this is unfortunate, and are working quickly to ensure our electrical system is both safe, and up to current code.

We will update this page again when we have further details and timelines.

We're making steady progress replacing dozens of pilings damaged by winter storms and icing. The outboard area (F Section), A, B, C dockage sections are complete. The piling barge is focusing now on D & E sections. We appreciate boat owners for their understanding and flexibility as we work to repair and upgrade our marina infrastructure.

The Wellfleet Harbor Department has created a detailed "to do" list encompassing both large and small projects at the marina. While projects like building new floats or driving pilings are priorities, we are also catching up on smaller items that need attention. We've arranged for new granite caps to finish a stone retaining wall built many years ago at the launch ramp.
