Hello all my millions of Facebook peeps.

Surgery update. Ended up back in the hospital on Tuesday 5 weeks post surgery. Had a huge lump where my drain was that wasn’t going down. Surgeon drained it in his office. 100 cc of clear fluid. Sent to lab for testing but was obviously CSF cerebral Spinal Fluid. This is an indication that the spinal dura must have a tear and is leaking and needs repair asap . Checked into hospital and they were able to secure a slot in OR for Wednesday afternoon.

Surgery was done as scheduled to repair two tears in the dura. One he was able to suture closed, the second he had to use a patch, glue and suture to close. Restricted to bed rest laying flat on back for next two days at hospital.

After PT & OT evaluation yesterday I was cleared to go home.

Glad to be home chilling on couch.

Tomorrow morning at 8:15 am I check into Skokie Hospital for my robotic conversion.

If all goes well I’ll be home Tuesday sometime for a week of recovery. Then back at it, at a very reduced and restricted rate for six weeks.

Hopefully NO MORE excruciating back pain.
