The official results are in! John and I finished the Texas Water Safari (the worlds toughest water race) in 10th and 12th place in the solo catagory. Not bad for a couple of unskilled rookies! Remember, there were over 90 boats that competed overal with more than 30 teams unable to finish.

It’s officially over! Last week we delivered a check for $10,000 to the Texas Transit Association. This money will be used for the start of a scholarship foundation in Texas.

Allen and I are taking about an hour nap during the race....Basically, we just laid down on an open area of asphalt and used our life jackets as pillows....I covered up with an emergency blanket and we slept. I do not reccommend these sleeping arrangements to anyone!
