Someone asks what your business does. Can you answer in one clear sentence?

Start here: “I help [who] with [what] so they can [result].”

Clear words make your offer easier to understand and easier to share. Helping owners get that clarity is part of the work we do at LRL.

How would you describe your business in one sentence?

New MC number? Before you book your first load, make sure these three things are locked down:

• BOC-3 process agent filed
• IFTA account set up and mile tracking started
• UCR registration current for your state

Miss any of these and it can cost you more than the load paid.

I put together a checklist that walks through this so nothing slips through. Comment "checklist" and I'll send it over.

Your to-do list tells you where your time is going.

Your not-doing list protects it.

Add the tasks, meetings, offers, and habits that pull you away from your priorities.

What are you taking off your list?

A clear handoff answers three questions:

Who owns the next step?
What do they need?
When is it due?

Clear handoffs keep the work moving and reduce the follow-up chase.

How clear are the handoffs in your business?

AI Tip

Every goal needs a clear first move.

Copy this prompt:

Turn this goal into a five-step action plan. Put the steps in order and tell me the best first move.

Goal: [Insert your goal]

Review the plan, make your adjustments, and start with step one.

Define done.

Before a task begins, decide what must be delivered, who reviews it, and where it belongs when complete.

Clear finish lines create stronger follow-through.

Where does your business need a clearer definition of done?
