Lake Tahoe Boat Company is a family-owned, and operated business based in South Lake Tahoe, CA. We are a Crest Pontoon, MasterCraft, MerCruiser, Mercury Marine, Minn Kota, Yamaha Marine, Zodiac and Crest Pontoon dealer. Our company is seeking to fill a variety of positions from a Marine Service Writer Assistant & Parts Specialist, Marine Mechanic, Boat Detailer all the way to an experience Fiberglass Technician. Boating and mechanical knowledge is a plus, or required depending on the position but a willingness to learn is a must.

If you answered YES to the above READ ON:
Marine Mechanic($20–$30):
Responsible for carrying out the daily duties which include, but are not limited to, general service and repair of outboard/inboard/IO's engines; gas and diesel 2 and 4 cylinder engines; troubleshooting and engine rebuilds; new engine prep. and repowers; repairing and installing electronic equipment; rigging and boat building; repairing and overhauling boats, machinery, trailers, etc.; and quality control on service jobs. Mechanical experience is a must – Marine mechanics preferred.
Boat Detailer ($17–$25):
Responsibilities include: Wash, wax, and buff boat, clean interior & exterior windshield, vacuum and scrub the interior of the boat, utilize special-purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness of vehicles, and Operate all tools in a safe manner. Must have reliable transportation to travel to the jobs around town. Experience in the marine industry is a plus, but we will train the right person if you have the enthusiasm and a great attitude.
Experienced Fiberglass Technician ($25–$35):
Prepping fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair and smoothing, shaping/molding edges to match contours. Buffing and polishing repaired surfaces for gel coat and/or paint. Laminating mold surfaces and assembling parts for fiberglass products. The position will also include general maintenance of boats. The position also includes but is not limited to painting, diagnosing problems, and troubleshooting equipment. Running tests, completing reports, updating and improving existing systems. Repairing and replacing faulty systems. Identify defects such as cracks, blisters, stress fractures, and cosmetic flaws. Estimate repair times, and plan for materials while coordinating with management.
Marine Service Writer Assistant & Parts Specialist ($17–$25):
This job requires computer skills and the ability to learn new programs as you navigate the various manufacturer's systems to look up parts, input warranty requests, and other duties. Previous Marine or Automotive Service Writing experience is a plus along with boating and mechanical knowledge, but not required. However, a willingness to learn is a must. Common sense and the ability to learn and take direction is essential. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Serve as the primary point of contact with customers by phone, email, and face-to-face interactions, developing positive relationships with key customers. Identify customers’ needs, gathers pertinent information, provide quotes, prepare repair plans and provide status updates to customers on repair work. Create complex work orders including diagnostic plans, quotes, and repair plans by determining the length of repair based on parts and labor availability; review and plan with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead prior to customer contact.
