I always prefer my clients purchase travel insurance but I understand that some find it unnecessary but I’ve had more than one instance when it has come in very handy.
I very good friend and client of mine booked a trip with me and choose not to get insurance and unfortunately had a very bad medical emergency come up days before their trip. They were going to go regardless and power through until on the way to the airport they just decided it wasn’t safe and they turned around and went home. I was heart broken and they were heart broken but sometimes losing money isn’t always the worst thing in the world.
Eventually their medical emergency was fixed and behind the scenes I was working with my suppliers to try and salvage any money I could for them. We turned in all their medical documents and we all prayed for favor and in a little over a week they were given travel credits and an airline refund.

We were all so thankful but this could’ve went the other way and it would’ve been such a waste.
So please keep that in mind when you decide to purchase travel insurance…you just never know what life will throw at you!
So with all that in mind I just rebooked them on another trip to this fabulous resort in the Dominican!! I am so happy for them and that it all turned out in the end and this time we have travel insurance…the piece of mind is worth it!!!

Sorry my social media has been quiet since my last trip to Costa Rica.
I had a health issue come up the day after I arrived and I was so fortunate to be able to have to access medical care in a foreign country for the first time!
I want to share a couple things about my experience without over sharing!
First point. I visited an urgent care there and it’s attached to a pharmacy so as soon as you get your prescription you walk right over and they fill it. They were very professional and thorough and spoke perfect English. We were in and out in thirty minutes or so, great service.
Second point. I always get at least medical insurance to cover me when I travel. It’s such a minimal cost it’s a no brainier. I think it was $25 for a ten day trip. I had to pay cash for my visit $150 flat fee. When I was in the states I submitted all the paperwork I had from the visit along with my banking information and they reimbursed me in three days! So simple!
Please away consider the minimal medical insurance when you travel to a foreign country, it could save you thousands!
I’m back to feeling like myself so hopefully you’ll be seeing more from me now! I know I’m ready to get back out there and explore more of this amazing world we live in!!
