💥 Its been Bellows… I Mean BUISNESS as usual for us!

💥 This time of year I average 3-4 Bellows packages a day while mixing other various jobs into the schedule. We scattered long blocks into the schedule, a hearty amount of manifolds and risers as well as a couple top end V8 rebuilds from failed manifolds over the past couple of weeks. Of course we had tune ups and recommissionings mixed in also.

One from this week that highlights the importance of Getting your bellows and gimbal bearing replaced before they fail! This drive fought tooth and nail but it came off with no damage to the carrier or bell housing. But from the failed bellows it got the additional expense of a new ujoint assembly!

As we have been threatening for months now we have finally rolled out the updated pricing! Compared to everyone else’s drastic price hikes I consider ours pretty reasonable for the current situation of the world! Travel is included in our bellows packages so if you do the math this price increase does not even cover the increased cost of diesel.

Who is Loon Marine some may ask? We are Southern New Englands Boat Bellows Specialists! No one in Southern New England averages the number of Bellows We do a season! Tony The Owner and head technician has 15+ years experience in the Mobile Marine Repair and Service industry and has held Almost every major Manufacturers Certifications for including Mercury, Mercruiser, Mercruiser inboard, Yamaha, Suzuki, Brp, and Indmar!

This afternoon’s project involved a quick tear down of this 5.0 Mercrusier! This is why we will NEVER install aftermarket manifolds on a Mercruiser! This was a new engine a couple years ago and the technician who assembled it used these aftermarket manifolds which failed after a season of use. This now has caused this engine to need a top end rebuild! We have a tuliped intake valve on cylinder 6 and an exhaust valve that does not seat on cylinder 4. Even with genuine manifolds and risers they do not last forever. In saltwater manifolds and risers last 6-7 years and in freshwater you have around 10 years! Save yourself thousands in unnecessary engine repairs and get ahead of it by getting those manifolds and risers done before it’s too late! Schedule now with Loon Marine Service!
