This Saturday, January 10th, we will be at the airport training on our new Testing software. This is a required change by the ARRL and FCC to adapt to a more digital world. While this means doing electronic testing and a little more training, this also means new test takers can get their license in as little as 4 days! If anyone is interested in becoming a VE, or is interested in taking a new license test, please feel free to attend this meeting. As always, we will be starting at 10:30, and having testing at 12. We will also get some more training on the calendar for the upcoming educational meetings.

Parks on Air Activation exercise today!!!

07/08/2025

Just to remind everyone that this Saturday, July 12th will be the Parks on the Air activation at Lake Russell starting at 10:30am. We will be bringing a cooler full of ice, water, and some sandwich supplies. Please bring a lawn chair and any extra refreshments you would like. If your antenna and/or radio is portable, please bring it as well.

Directions to the ranger station. Come up west Currahee street past the GSP station. Take a left onto Ayersville road at Camp Toccoa. Follow the road for a less than a mile. The road will make a hard curve to the right. Once the curve levels out, there will be a small upwards hill. At the top of the hill will be a dirt road on the left. There will also be a sign on the right that points to the dirt road stating it is the wildlife management area. Follow that road for a half mile. The ranger station will be on the left. Please look for TARS logo signs.
