Who knew there were awards for brochures? Well, now we all do! We were officially named a Regional Award Winner at the 2025 International Best Brochure Awards. While we’d like to thank the Academy, we really owe it to those stunning Vermont views, and the talented for laying it out so beautifully!

Next time you see a rack of cards at a local establishment, keep an eye out for our award-winning beauty. Better yet, just book a tour and see if the real thing lives up to the hype. (Spoiler: It does!)

The e-bike packing list: Riding in the Upper Valley is a game of preparation. The roads are dynamic, the birds are everything, and the weather and temperatures… varied. When we head out on the road, this is exactly what’s in the bag.

The Essentials:

Thermal Regulation - Layers, long sleeves, jackets, and everything in between to handle the 50° morning and the 70° afternoon.

Binoculars and Camera - Lightweight binoculars, optics, and a compact camera with a prime lens for landscapes and group photos.

Hydration - Any hydration system that seals well will do.

We’ve spent years riding these roads, and we’ve dialed in the gear so you don’t have to!

Farmstand season is officially back! One of our local favorites, Cedar Circle Farm in East Thetford, opens for the season today, May 1st!

There’s nothing like pulling up on an e-bike, grabbing a latte and pastry from Hello Cafe, and letting time stop for a while. Take your cup down to the flower gardens and sink into an Adirondack chair, or wander through the colorful greenhouses. Browsing their adorable farm store is a must—it’s full of jams, sauces, dressings, and more, all made from farm-grown ingredients. Plus, there are tons of other local goodies. If you’ve explored East Thetford before, then you probably know about this super special spot!

Cedar Circle makes a great pit stop when doing the Farmstand Tour. You can also get there on the long version of the Jasper Murdock’s Tour or from our shop on Thetford Hill. Vermont Bike & Brew guests save 10% off everything that comes out of the kitchen at Cedar Circle Farm, including coffee and pastries from Hello Cafe!

We talk a lot about our tour stops, but what about the moments in between? What if, instead of just checking all the boxes on your “”Best of Vermont”” list, you got a true taste of the real Vermont?

Some people come here for the highlight reel. We love to deliver the moments that don’t have a pin, the sound of a bubbling brook alongside a dirt road, or the scent of wildflowers in a high pasture. Our tours aren’t about rushing to the next destination; they are about slowing down enough to actually see where you are.

No crowds, your own pace—just the quiet beauty of the Green Mountains.

We aim to design tours for every interest and celebrate the local partners who make this region so dynamic and special. One stop that truly needs no introduction is King Arthur Baking in Norwich.

It is a landmark for a reason—more than just a bakery, it is a full-on experience. Whether you want to enjoy fresh artisan pastries and locally roasted coffee, grab a sandwich at the café, or stuff your bike bags with King Arthur’s incredible selection of mixes and flours, there is always something to discover. We highly recommend our riders take the time to explore this truly special location before finishing the Jasper Murdock Tour.

Today we wish a Happy Birthday to our founder Jonas! We thought it would be fun to share the “why” behind Vermont Bike & Brew—a project that means so much to him. His answers are below!

Where does your passion for the outdoors come from?
“Contrary to what most people assume, I did not grow up riding bikes. But when I first rode an E-Bike in 2017, I experienced a feeling of pure freedom and knew they were the best way to explore my home state. I’m passionate about using E-Bikes to create positive, shared experiences.”

How does your background shape the tours you’ve designed?
“I grew up in Thetford and have known many of our partnering farmers and brewers for decades. Anyone can buy a fleet of e-bikes, but our relationships shape our routes. I want every visitor to experience the network of small businesses that make living here a dream. Without our partners, our routes wouldn’t exist.”

How do you promote an “authentic” Vermont?
“The vast majority of tourists think the ‘complete’ Vermont package is just syrup and barns. That’s surface-level. The authentic experience is meeting the sugar-makers, learning about life on the farm over a creemee, or sipping cider in a hand-hewn barn with the winemakers. It’s about making those real connections.”

Gravel biking in Vermont can be tough. How do you make it accessible for your guests?
“Conquering remote dirt roads and big hills can be tough and gritty, and it gives riders a huge sense of empowerment. The E-Bikes have smooth and powerful motors that let our riders experience this achievement with comfort and grace.”

Looking Ahead to 2026:
“I’m excited to welcome more large groups! We started with 6 bikes in 2020 and now have a fleet of 35. It’s an absolute joy to see multi-generational groups—weddings, reunions, and company outings—all rolling down the road together. More of that joy in 2026!”

Join us in wishing Jonas a very Happy Birthday! 🍻🎂

With the early spring temperature swings comes a very special time: sugaring season. Many of our tours feature stops that center around one of Vermont’s most celebrated traditions.

We love supporting our partners who make small-batch syrup the traditional way. On our various routes, you can experience the best of the season:

Silver Lake Syrups: Our go-to for a maple creemee on the Upper Pass Tour.

The High Low Farm: Fills the shelves with sweet treats and meats at the Barnard General Store on the Upper Pass Tour.

Poulin & Daughters Family Farm: Homemade maple goodies for riders on the Bent Hill Tour.

We are grateful for the farmers who hike deep into the woods and spend long nights at the evaporator. We are proud to support their work through our tours.

Spring is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to open our shop doors again. Plan your adventure today to enjoy the fruits of our farmers’ labor. Visit the link in our bio to book your tour!

There is a specific kind of magic that happens at 15 to 20 mph on a Vermont back road. It’s fast enough to feel the wind in your hair and elicit all those “little kid” feelings, but slow enough to hold a meaningful conversation without losing your breath - because you’re on an E-Bike!

Our E-Bikes level the playing field, ensuring that the strongest rider and the most casual cruiser in the group can stay side-by-side all day.

It turns a bike ride into a shared experience where the focus stays on the person next to you and the VT landscape all around you.

Know a friend who would enjoy taking this kind of ride with you? Send them this post! Then use the link in our bio to book your tour today.
