Talking about the number one thing no one in the art world wants to talk about… until it’s too late.🤫
Hiring others to ship artwork, why “I didn’t know” is no longer an excuse, and who is actually at fault when things go seriously wrong. 🚐🖼️
In Part 3, the final video of this three-part series, I talk about why you can always trust a someone’s word on a handshake. 🤝 The reality is, (even if they say they do) not everyone operates truthfully with honesty and integrity. 😈 Many carriers and movers offering art shipping services choose to operate deceptively to evade legal regulations and “fly under the radar.” 🧑🦯➡️Choosing to blindly trust someone’s word instead of DYOR to vet them, or looking the other way and hiring them despite knowing they’re not operating legally, while continuing to aid their illegal operation, could land you in serious legal trouble. 🏛️ Your priority might be the artwork and your bottom line, but the biggest priority is the safety of everyone else on the highway. 🛣️
