Keys to the Castle by Kayla Travel professional helping clients create memories one magical vacation at a time. Especially while also juggling everyday life.

Personalized travel planning for families and couples who value expertise, thoughtful strategy, and trips that actually fit them. I have been a travel professional since 2017, but my love for planning vacations started long before that. I started my travel journey focusing on Disney Destinations, as I was previously a Cast Member at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. While I still love all thi

ngs Disney, I have spent the last few years learning as much as I can about a variety of different destinations around the globe. I recognize that planning a vacation, no matter the destination, can be extremely overwhelming. Finding the right accommodations for your family, planning all of the details, and making sure you know what activities you need to book on what day can be a LOT to handle. My goal is to make sure that my clients are able to be as hands-off on their vacation as they'd like, so they can just show up and enjoy their trip. I'd love to help your family plan your next great adventure! Send me a message or fill out the trip request form on my website to get started!

Ever overhear a travel nightmare in the making?

We were on a boat in Venice when a woman in a group of six realized she’d accidentally double-booked two tours at the same time and wasn’t even sure if her cancellation had gone through.

This is exactly why working with a travel advisor is worth it.

When you have someone in your corner:

• Your plans don’t overlap
• Your cancellations are confirmed
• Your documentation is organized
• And you show up to enjoy your trip — not manage it

Travel should be the fun part. Let someone else handle the details.

There is a 1940s speakeasy underneath the streets of Soho in London, hidden inside a disused Underground station.

It is called Cahoots. Vintage tube carriage seating, swing music, era-appropriate cocktails, and an atmosphere that genuinely feels like stepping into another decade. It is one of those places that makes you feel like you found something, even though it has been there for years.

That is one of the things I love most about London. Every neighborhood has something like this waiting if you know where to look. A coffee cart outside the British Museum with the best cinnamon bun you will ever eat. A pub near Battersea Park that has been serving fish and chips since 1866. A vintage market in East London where you can spend an entire morning and still feel like you missed things.

London rewards curiosity. And it is a lot more manageable than people think when you have the right plan going in.

If you want help building a London trip that actually fits how you travel, let's talk.

What is a bar, restaurant, or hidden gem you have stumbled onto while traveling that you still think about?

Hot take: London is one of the easiest first international trips you can take from the US.

Same language. Direct flights from most major airports. A metro system that covers the entire city and accepts contactless payment. And most of the major museums, including the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, and the Tate Modern, are completely free to enter.

The thing that trips people up most is actually the currency. The UK uses pounds, not euros. If London is part of a bigger European trip, you need both. It sounds obvious but it is one of the most common things people do not think about until they land.

As a travel advisor who has been twice, I can help you plan a London trip that makes sense for how you actually travel, not just a list of landmarks to check off.

I have been to London twice. Once with my boyfriend, once on my own. Both trips felt completely different.

That is what London does. It is big enough that you can visit more than once and still feel like you are seeing a new city. The neighborhoods, the pace, the people you are with. It all changes the experience.

If you have been thinking about London as your first international trip, I want you to know that it is one of the most approachable cities in the world for American travelers. The language is the same. The Tube is easy to navigate. Most of the major museums are free. The barriers that make international travel feel intimidating are largely not there.

I put together a full guide covering everything I wish I had known before my first visit. Neighborhoods, where to eat, what to actually skip, and why the Cotswolds deserves a full day of your trip.

If London has been on your list and you are ready to stop thinking about it and actually book it, send me a message.

There is a crepe restaurant along the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris that I stumbled onto on my very first trip, and I have been recommending it to clients ever since.

Breizh Cafe. Buckwheat galettes, Bordier butter, and a cider selection that I still think about. The kind of place that feels like a personal discovery even though it has been there for years.

That is what Paris does. You plan the big stuff, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Seine cruise, and then the city hands you something unexpected that ends up being the part you remember most.

My third trip is next month and I am already looking forward to going back.
If you want help planning your own Paris trip, the kind with a little room for the unexpected, let's talk.

Unpopular opinion: the Paris metro is one of the best reasons to book the trip.

I know international travel can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time. But Paris is one of the most accessible major cities in the world for first-time travelers. Direct flights from most major US airports, a metro system that connects the entire city, and enough English signage to get you where you need to go without a panic attack.

The ticketing system was also simplified in 2025, so navigating it is easier than ever.

As a travel advisor who has been twice and is heading back next month, I can help you cut through the noise and plan a trip that actually fits how you travel. No cookie-cutter itineraries. No overwhelming spreadsheets.

Just Paris, done right.

I have been to Paris twice and I leave for my third trip next month.

Every time I go, I find something new. A neighborhood I overlooked, a restaurant I wish I had found sooner, a slower pace that I did not give myself permission to enjoy the first time around.

If you have been thinking about Paris but do not know where to start, that is exactly what I am here for. I have been putting together a full guide for first-time visitors covering neighborhoods, the metro, where to eat, and yes, why Disneyland Paris deserves a spot on your itinerary even if you are not a Disney person.

Paris is one of those trips that people talk themselves out of because it feels overwhelming to plan. It does not have to be. That is literally my job.

Drop a comment or send me a message and let's talk about getting you there.

What is stopping you from booking Paris?
