T&L Club will have the first meeting tomorrow ( Sep 27th) at noon in ERL 102. We will be explaining about our club, and upcoming events. After the meeting, Dr Stewart will also have an internship briefing. Pizzas are provided.

On Sep 15th to 18th, T&L club took 20 students down to Long Beach, California to attend the Annual IANA EXPO and Student Competition. 3 of the students were in the competitive team and ended up in the TOP 3. Besides the EXPO and competition, students also had great networking chance, spent time at the beach, and exploring Los Angles!!! Everyone had a great time!!!

Over the past Sunday, T&L club and North Shore Scenic Railroad organized the annual clean up volunteer event, here are some pictures from the event!

On Sep 15th to 20th, T&L club took 13 students down to Long Beach, California to attend the Annual IANA EXPO and Student Competition. 3 of the students were in the competitive team and ended up in the TOP 3 spot. Besides the EXPO and competition, students also had great networking chance, spent time at the beach, and exploring Los Angles!!! Everyone had a great time!!!

The first Transportation and Logistics Management Club meeting is on September 21st at noon in Erlanson 102.

Steve Russo from JB Hunt will be speaking to the club about JB Hunt’s intermodal department and his tips for getting a job in intermodal. There will also be a few other employees from JB Hunt who are interested in talking to students about future job and internships possibilities.

We will also be explaining a bit about the club and some of the exciting opportunities that we have planned for the club.

Don’t worry about missing lunch, because we will have FREE PIZZA and pop during the meeting.

On Friday night the T&L Club celebrated our graduating seniors at the senior send off! Congratulations to the graduates and we wish you the best of luck in future endeavors!

The UW-Superior Transportation and Logistics Club visited the North Shore Scenic Railroad this past Saturday to help clean up trash on their track along the lakewalk in Duluth. We had a great time riding the train and being outside in the nice weather!

Hello all,

We will be having a volunteer event coming up on Saturday, April 22nd with the North Shore Scenic Railroad. This is a great event to add to your resume because it shows that you are helping out your community and what better day to have it on than Earth Day! We depart via rail at 9:45 and we will arrange transportation when everyone is signed up. This will be a morning event and there will be a FREE PIZZA lunch after, courtesy of the NSSR.

Good morning all!

A few announcements from the club:
This Thursday, April 13th the club is hosting Sue Boudrie as an IANA Leadership Speaker. She is an Operations Managers for IKONICS Advanced Material Solutions Division in Duluth. She is also the 2017 chairman of the Northern Aero Alliance. She will be speaking about what the Northern Aero Alliance is, her career, her background, and tips for future professionals in the field. Lunch will be provided. The meeting is at noon on Thursday in Erlanson 102, hope to see you all there!

Next Wednesday, April 19th, the club is hosting the Duluth Superior Transportation Association (DSTA) on campus. A free meal will be provided and it is an excellent networking opportunity. There will be a sign up in the T&L office starting today at noon. Please sign up as soon as possible for this great opportunity!!

Hello all!

The T & L Club will be taking 12 students on a Spring Break trip. The trip will cost NOTHING to the students attending! The vans will be leaving on Monday March 20th and be back in Superior on the night of Thursday March 23rd.

The trip will include

Eau Claire: CN Intermodal Yard Tour, Marten Transport Tour, Overnight Stay

Madison: Tour of the Wisconsin DOT, A visit to the UW-Madison, Masters in Supply Chain Management program, Overnight Stay

Green Bay, Tour of Lambeau Field, Tour of JB Hunt intermodal operations office in Green Bay, Overnight Stay

Chippewa Falls: Tour of Leinenkugel Brewery in Chippewa Falls
