🚗🐾 Volunteer Drivers Needed! 🐾🚗

Our shelter animals need your help getting to their veterinary and rescue appointments, and we're looking for compassionate volunteers who are willing to lend a hand.

We are especially seeking volunteers with Wednesday and Thursday availability, but scheduling is flexible. Most transports will be to and from Columbia, SC, though other destinations may occasionally be needed as appointment locations change.

Even donating a few hours of your time can make a life-saving difference for an animal waiting for a second chance. Transportation is a critical part of helping our dogs and cats receive medical care, meet rescue partners, and begin their journey to a better life.

If you have a reliable vehicle, enjoy driving, and want to make a real impact, we'd love to have you on our volunteer team!

💔 Spooky Needs Someone to Believe in Him 💔

Meet Spooky, a sweet but incredibly shy Bully mix whose life has clearly not been an easy one.

Spooky was found at a residence off Hewitt Road, terrified of the world around him. He was so frightened that even the slightest movement would make him flinch. As we got closer, we noticed old wounds and scars on his head, including what appeared to be marks from previous injuries and possible animal bites. No dog should have to endure that kind of pain.

Despite everything he's been through, Spooky still wanted to trust. He would cautiously inch closer, wanting comfort but unsure if it was safe. With patience, gentle voices, and kindness, we were finally able to earn enough of his trust to safely bring him to the shelter.

Now Spooky faces another heartbreaking challenge.

The shelter is no place for a dog as sensitive and scared as he is. Every day is overwhelming, and he desperately needs a rescue or a loving adopter willing to show him that not all people will hurt him. Beneath his fear is a gentle soul that simply needs someone to believe in him.

Please, if you have room in your heart and home, consider giving Spooky the second chance he has never had. If you are a rescue that can help, or if you're interested in adopting him, please reach out as soon as possible.
