Women in Insurance in New England - WINE Giving back to our community through networking events for women working in the insurance industry. We formed Women in Insurance in New England, or W.I.N.E.

In early 2009, a few women in insurance decided to hold a golf outing to raise money for a Boston charity. We wanted to give back to the community, but we also wanted to form networking events for women working in the insurance industry. We researched charities, found Women's Lunch Place (WLP) in Boston, and decided the shelter would be the charity that we donate to for each event. WLP provides a

safe, comfortable daytime shelter, nutritious food, and support services for women experiencing homelessness or poverty. They treat women with dignity and respect, and foster a community dedicated to meeting each woman’s unique needs. We had our first Nine & W.I.N.E. golf outing in October 2009 with great success. Since then, we’ve organized annual Mother's Day card drive/networking receptions and several Nine & W.I.N.E. golf outings. We have raised in excess of $200k for Women’s Lunch Place. W.I.N.E. is now a committee of 15 women from the insurance industry and a distribution list of close to 700 women across New England! The group is made up of agents, brokers, primary insurance companies, wholesalers, reinsurers and risk managers. We are excited to continue this journey and hope you will support our efforts to give back to the community and strengthening networking among our peers.

Registration is OPEN! Sponsor and join us for the Annual Nine and W.I.N.E. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 @ Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, MA.

There are many opportunities for corporate sponsorship, as highlighted in the various levels listed below:

Magnum: $2,500 - Premium recognition, social media, tee box signage
Champagne: $3,000 - 8 golf/lunch/dinner guests, signage
Cabernet: $1,600 - 4 golf/lunch/dinner guests, signage
Rose: $800 - 2 golf/lunch/dinner guests
Dinner: $1,000 - Signage and social media recognition
Lunch: $750 - Signage recognition
Wine Tasting: $500 - Signage recognition at wine tasting holes, social media
Dessert: $250 - Signage recognition
Dinner Only: $75 - includes 1 dinner guest

Golf event schedule:
11:00 am - Registration Opens/Networking - Box lunch provided*** Raffle tickets available for purchase - cash, credit and Venmo accepted***
12:30 pm - Welcome Remarks & Golf Shotgun Start
3:30 pm - Happy Hour (Last Chance to purchase raffle tickets/bid on items)
4:30 pm - Dinner Buffet
5:00 pm - Women's Lunch Place Presentation
5:30 pm - Golf Awards/Raffle and Silent Auction Winners Announced

W.I.N.E. is happy to report we raised over $25k at this year's Trivia, Tacos & Tequila event with proceeds supporting the great work of the Women's Lunch Place - a safe, welcoming, daytime community in Boston for women experiencing hunger, homelessness and poverty.

Earlier this month, we hosted 110 players from various carriers, brokers, and other partners for an evening of food, fun and networking. The W.I.N.E. Committee would like to express a big THANK YOU to all the sponsors of this year’s event. It is through the generous support of our New England insurance community that our group has been able to raise over $350k over the years, all to help women in need around Greater Boston.

Hello New England Insurance Community! Our annual springtime fundraiser with a night of TACOS, TEQUILA & TRIVIA @ Women’s Lunch Place is coming up on May 1st and we are happy to report we have already sold out! But even though Team sponsorships are no longer available, there are still lots of great ways to support this amazing organization at all sponsorship levels.

🌮 For a $150 donation you can support a day of fruit at WLP or up to $500 for a day of healthy lunches being served.
🌮 Another great way to support WLP is to purchase a Mother’s Day card for $25, beautifully illustrated by a WLP guest.
🌮 You can always provide items that are currently in need (check out the WLP website and Amazon wish list).
