I haven't had anything to post in a bit, however, I did get this 96 Johnson up and going again last month and took it out this weekend. The previous owner somehow lost the timing base bolts the last time it ran and it sucked the whole assembly into the flywheel magnets and destroyed it. I was able to match the bolts up from another motor and reinstall it. The 20hp suzuki I have is an awesome motor, however, the top end power of a 2 stroke can't be matched. Only thing that sucks is the fuel mileage compared to the 4 stroke! 🤣 both engines have my respect and have their place in my life though, so they will both get used in their own way.

2006 johnson 9.9. When I took it, It had no water pump and was pouring fuel. After a new water pump and carb kit, it's alive and healthy.

Glad to have helped you with your boat, William Joe Debatin but sorry to have out ran you 🤣 on a serious note, thank you for trusting me to work on your projects and more importantly being my friend through it all. The johnson 25 2 stroke really gave me a good run with my 20hp efi suzuki once we got past the video.

The concrete saw is done. I cleaned out the carb, cleaned the spark plug, and checked the fuel lines. It fired up immediately afterwards.

This is some Chinese knock off of a Briggs motor that has a gator tail attachment. The owners dropped it in the lake on accident and it flooded out. They were able to remove all the water from the crank case and cylinder, but looks like some still remains in the fuel system. I'm going to go through it entirely and see what else needs done.

Galvanized pipe hiding in the grass 1, push mower 0. It's an easy fix at least.
