Meet a New Jersey student who launched “Repurpose, Redistribute, and Reuse Gently Used School Supplies”
A program equipping youth for the new school year with much needed supplies and backpacks.
This program collects gently used school supplies and gives them a second life at , , and Elementary schools in New Jersey.

She reached out to us through our work in .nj, and we were thrilled to supply reusable totes from our system to help her mission. 💚

Proof that one idea, paired with community support, can change the way we reuse and reduce waste 👏👏👏

GOATOTE offers a suite of comprehensive solutions for reusable bags. Billions of bags enter our waste stream each year and we are on a mission to ensure these bags are re-used to their full potential. Our most impactful work in New Jersey is the New Jersey Reusable Bag Redistribution Program. We have diverted over 6.5 tons of reusable bags and redistributed them to those in need in less than 12 months 💚

Meet our mascot 🐐
I knew I had to do an impromptu photo shoot with this little guy as soon as I saw him!

People often ask us about our name and what it means. People often pronounce it go-a-tote and we’ve even been told we should change our name by some highly respected marketers and designers.
Nope. Not happening.

At the very beginning of this adventure we were trying to think of names for our company. Looking back it was such a funny and fun experience. We had some doozies.

As sports fans, when GOATOTE came about - we knew that was the one.

We are thrilled to announce Union County's expansion of the NJ Reusable Bag Redistribution Program. They started last year with 2 locations for residents to donate their excess reusable bags and have now added 13 additional drop points!!
The New Jersey Reusable Bag Redistribution Program is the largest reuse program for reusable bags in the country. Residents donate excess reusable bags and goatote collects, cleans, and redistributes the bags to food banks and food pantries throughout the state. We have many participating counties and townships throughout the state and the program is growing. Reach out if you are interested in participating or want to learn more.
