This won’t be for everyone, but for me….
This tastes like summer. 🍞 🍃

Fresh Amish sourdough sandwich bread, a swipe of Miracle Whip, basil picked straight off the plant, a drizzle of my favorite Paducah Olive Oil, and a little fresh-ground salt and pepper. The only thing missing is a ripe garden tomato.

Simple. Fresh. Delicious.

Not everything worth looking forward to comes in a big package. Sometimes it’s a loaf of sourdough on the counter, a gooey cinnamon roll with your afternoon coffee, or a fried pie enjoyed before anyone else in the house knows it’s there. 😉

There’s something about the fragrance of mint and lavender that makes me slow down and pay attention. One is fresh and invigorating, the other soft and calming—a perfect reminder that beauty is often found in life’s simplest gifts. 🍃

These fragrant garden treasures can represent a believer’s life, and the wind can symbolize God’s Spirit stirring within us so that the fragrance of faith, love, and good works is evident to others.
