Dear Artists;
Currently, I (David Warren) am putting together a proposal for an exhibit of self-portraits. My primary intention is to propose this to the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science. However, there may be other venues [after that] to pursue. For the proposal, the Pavilion requires a list of participating artists and a sample of their work. If at all interested, pleas
e be sure to respond by Feb. 8, 2016. There is no guarantee that artists will be added after the proposal has been submitted to the Washington Pavilion. If accepted, the exhibit will likely be in early 2017. Currently we have images ranging from 5” x 7” to 36” x 48”. Please, nothing over 5’ x 5’, as transportation and display space must be taken into consideration. If the proposal is accepted you will be contacted with the requirements and deadlines for unabridged versions of your artist statements and biography. Also, everyone participating in the exhibit should have ‘some’ type of connection to the region (whether small or great). A potential title for the exhibit is “100 Self-Portraits.” So, please forward this invite to any artist you feel would be interested in this exhibit. I believe that with your participation, this will be an amazing exhibit that will garner much attention for the Pavilion as well as the Artists involved. Sincerely yours,
