Just a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to take some time off of work and do yoga teaching training in Hawaii! I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life and I'm so thankful for it. Here's just a piece of what it was like there 💕✨ can't wait to get started sharing yoga with the rest of you!!

Hey guys!! It's about time I updated this page a bit. Recently I've been lacking motivation for just about....everything. Yoga. Eating #healthy. Going to work. Hanging with friends. And I've decided it's time for a change. ✨

Every time I try something new, I fall off the wagon two weeks later. But this time I'm starting a new fitness program and I'm gonna STICK with it! I'm tired of the excuses. Tired of feeling unhappy with myself. And mostly, I'm tired of feeling tired!! 😴

Sometimes learning how to cook in a new country can be quite intimidating! I've had to go through the supermarket looking at veggies I've never seen before and wouldn't even know how to begin to cook!!!

So you may not be aware, but I recently moved all the way across the world to Japan for a new job. It's been difficult trying to adjust to a new time schedule, diet and social life but I'm finally getting the hang of everything.

Of course in my month here, I have been seriously slacking on my workouts (like seriously) but it's time to get back to work!! Time to stop eating all the ramen and udon in the world and get on track with a healthy diet and workout routine. And that means starting with my original soul mate workout: Insanity!! Day 1/fit test is complete!!

Normally I HATE waking up early to workout, but today I decided to give it a go. I was just WAY too excited to try PiYo and get started with the program! I've always been a huge fan of yoga as the mental and physical benefits are amazing.

Well I think I'll start trying to incorporate morning workouts everyday cuz I feel like a million bucks! Not to mention, I don't even care I'm not wearing make up in this pic!! ;)

So let's take a minute to talk about the importance of WATER.

Hydration is incredibly important in your daily life. We all hear it, but most of us don't do it. In fact, the average person is chronically dehydrated! So while we KNOW water is important to drink, we still aren't drinking enough!! So how much should we be drinking??

We've all heard the popular 8x8 rule: eight glasses of 8oz per day. BUT, this is what you should be drinking BARE MINIMUM at your resting rate. Now take into consideration working out, or maybe it's warmer outside than usual and you're sweating more? The 8x8 rule is a great START but it's not the end all be all!! Most of us should be consuming at least half of our body weight in water and add more based on your activity levels. So if you weigh 160 lbs, you should be drinking about 80oz MINIMUM - that's already 16oz more than the 8x8 rule for your resting rate!!

Now that you know how much you should be drinking here are a few of the reasons WHY I love water!

I am SHOCKED at how far I've come on this journey so far!! I didn't believe that I could do it, but here I am almost through Insanity and I couldn't be more proud of myself. It takes HARD WORK, but it is SO WORTH IT. I have COMPLETELY reshaped my body and mind and I hope I can help everyone else do the same!!!
