So let's take a minute to talk about the importance of WATER.
Hydration is incredibly important in your daily life. We all hear it, but most of us don't do it. In fact, the average person is chronically dehydrated! So while we KNOW water is important to drink, we still aren't drinking enough!! So how much should we be drinking??
We've all heard the popular 8x8 rule: eight glasses of 8oz per day. BUT, this is what you should be drinking BARE MINIMUM at your resting rate. Now take into consideration working out, or maybe it's warmer outside than usual and you're sweating more? The 8x8 rule is a great START but it's not the end all be all!! Most of us should be consuming at least half of our body weight in water and add more based on your activity levels. So if you weigh 160 lbs, you should be drinking about 80oz MINIMUM - that's already 16oz more than the 8x8 rule for your resting rate!!
