Here is the last portion of the railroad's history which talks about the most recent updates to the railroad. Today the LQRR continues to thrive thanks to the attractions around the restored White City Park, and Wachusett Reservoir, as well as the freight operations provided by nearby customers. In recent years, the railroad has worked with Pan Am Railways (now under the control of CSX) to construct its own designated track parallel to the Worcester mainline to avoid interfering with normal freight operations. In addition to this, the railroad has also constructed a small depot in the Oakdale section of West Boylston, and in Berlin to allow flag stops for bikers and hikers wishing to explore the trails around the Wachusett Reservoir. Currently the railroad stretches 24 miles in length between Quinsigamond Jct. in North Grafton, and Berlin.
