The Dolomites are nothing short of amazing. 🏔️
While chatting with someone local, she mentioned that just a few years ago, not many travelers from the U.S. had even heard of the Dolomites. Now, more and more people are discovering them. Whether it was the opening of Aman Rosa Alpina, the 2026 Winter Olympics, or simply word getting out, I’m not sure—but I do know this place is incredibly special.
What I loved most is that it truly has something for everyone. You can spend the morning hiking through some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable, stop for an unforgettable lunch at a mountain hut, relax at a beautiful spa in the afternoon, enjoy an incredible dinner, and wake up the next day to do it all over again on completely different trails.
Then there’s the history. These mountains have witnessed changing borders, World War I, and centuries of Austrian and Italian influence, creating a culture, cuisine, and identity that feel completely unique.
We lost count of how many times we said, “wow.” The scenery just never stopped. And the food? The dumplings, schnitzel, and cabbage may genuinely have been some of the best meals we’ve ever had. Maybe it was the food itself, maybe it was the hours of hiking beforehand, or maybe it was eating on top of a mountain surrounded by those views. Either way, every meal felt unforgettable.
Safe to say, we completely fell in love with the Dolomites. We’ll absolutely be back—next time with our boys. ❤️
