🇺🇸 **We Stand In Memory Of.**
Tonight, many families will tuck their loved ones in, make plans for tomorrow, and go to sleep expecting another ordinary day.
Twenty-five years ago, thousands of Americans did the same.
On the morning of September 11, 2001:
246 passengers and crew boarded four flights, expecting to reach their destinations.
Thousands of men and women reported to work at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
343 firefighters, 60 law enforcement officers, and 8 paramedics answered the call to serve and protect, never knowing the sacrifice that day would demand.
By the end of that morning, nearly 3,000 lives had been lost, and countless families, friends, coworkers, and communities would be forever changed.
For those of us in aviation, September 11th is more than a date in history. It changed our industry, our procedures, our security measures, and the way we fly. But it also reminded us of something far greater: the strength, courage, and resilience of the American people.
At Bighorn Airways, we pause to remember every passenger, crew member, first responder, military member, and civilian whose life was taken that day. We honor the heroes who ran toward danger when others were seeking safety. And we remember the families who carry that loss every day.
As tomorrow begins, may we take a moment to appreciate the gift of another sunrise, another flight, another conversation, and another day with the people we love.
May we never forget the lives lost.
May we always remember the heroes.
May we continue to stand united.
