I love flipping through old postcards at thrift or antique shops. This was my latest find in a charity shop in Di**le, Ireland. My great-grandmother gave me some wooden shoes which hang in my office and I thought this would be cute next to it. The message on the back made me laugh!

Imagine for a moment settling in for afternoon tea at The Silk Road Cafe in the Chester Beatty library in Dublin. They bring each of us individual plates filled with savory middle eastern treats - stuffed grape leaves, a slice of cucumber topped with shrimp, a ramekin of cheesy moussaka, a tiny tomato with pomegranate seeds, curried chicken, along with tea or coffee.

As we dig into our goodies, the waiter returns with this platter....our sweet course. All of this for FOUR people! Five different desserts for each of us to try...20 pastries! These were not small bites. We did our best but in the end, had to share with random visitors that wandered by our table and marveled at the spread!

This Savannah couple is lucky enough to be spending a month traversing the United Kingdom from London to Wales to Inverness and back again. The luxury of time will allow them to visit ten different areas without feeling too rushed.
