Spent the day harvesting wild seaweeds from Point Lobos in Carmel. Seaweed contains several beneficial minerals and vitamins that may nourish the skin during the exfoliation process, leaving the skin healthy looking and toned. These include vitamins A1, B2, B6, B12, and minerals like potassium, calcium, iron and zinc. This beautiful collection of ocean plants and botanicals will be used in my next release, an oceanic themed seaweed and salt bar. Can’t wait to get the artwork started!

UNBOXING BATHED IN MOLTEN GOLD••••••••••••••••••••Awash in Death: Bathed in Molten Gold is a plant-based, paraben and detergent-free, ultra-moisturizing, face and shower soap. We use organic whenever possible, and all of our oils are ethically sourced and sustainably harvested. The gold and bronze patterns of Bathed in Molten Gold are created with natural mica colorants. Each bar of soap is then dusted in biodegradable eco-glitter that lasts through the first several uses. Bathed in Molten Gold is designed to be both cleansing and moisturizing, and is recommended for people with sensitive skin. The scent is an intoxicating combination of midnight orchid, jasmine, clove, Italian bergamot, vanilla, musk, and patchouli. All Awash in Death soaps are on sale during the month of October, get individual bars for $11 or the set of three for $30 + shipping. DM me for sales.

BATHED IN MOLTEN GOLD •••••••••••••••••••••••••••They called him Prince of Bandits. Duke of Robbers. He’d successfully intercepted the King’s tithing collectors time and time again, relieving them of their burden and taking every gold coin they’d collected. He’d give the money back to the overtaxed and overworked citizens of the realm, becoming their friend, their hero, and eventually their martyr.

For when the King’s inquisitors came calling, none of the peasants spared his name. Not when the hot pincers and thumb screws were applied. The villagers wept his name, and sealed him a worse fate than they could have imagined.

The inquisitors stripped the Prince of Bandits bare, and broke him on the Catherine Wheel. His limbs shattered, they forced the Prince to his knees, shackled and trapped. They’d given him torture, but if it was gold he wanted, it was gold they’d give him.

The villagers found his naked, broken body later that evening. His head had been encased in a shell of molten gold. His eyes, nose, and mouth forever open in a final scream, bathed in precious metal until he his face resembled a glimmering statue. He’d been cleansed of life, and given a death mask that no one who’d seen it would ever forget. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Awash in Death. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••”The neuphrates was generally good for bathing, but warriors and farmers alike knew the place at the river where the body could be washed of its besoiled nature, and cleansed as if blessed by divinity. It was downstream from the great temple, the place where justice was meted out in the name of the goddess Inanna. The condemned were burned until a thick stream of blood and ash ran downhill, turning the riverbank red and black for days after the rituals of sacrifice. It was here where one could come to be unsullied, where grime and sweat dissolved away with ease when rubbed with the curds of salt that gathered on the riverbanks. The salts that formed only after fat and ash ran from the wretched sacrifices. Villagers would celebrate and dip themselves in the divine waters, giving praise for this cleansing. They were not awash in death, but inundated with life, and would one day learn to harness the blessings of the goddess to use at will. Ereshkigal saw all of this and approved”.
