When I see magical little moments like this happen during a photo shoot, I get so excited. Like, SOOOO EXCITED. You’ll probably hear me sing about how beautiful everyone looks, how ooey-gooey the golden light is, or I may even just squeeeeee with delight if everything is beyond words. 😆

This photo shoot was a truly special one for me. We got to feature Sibbie (our Airstream) in my family’s beautiful back field in New York. My cousin’s dog, Bandit, was our canine model, and I got to photograph one of my favorite humans to have in front of my camera.

There was something about all of those pieces coming together in one place that made this shoot feel extra meaningful. Plus, I mean, come on. Do you SEE that sunlight?! ✨

Hey Vermont! We’ve driven alllllll the way from San Diego to see your fall colors! 🍂 We seriously can’t wait to spend autumn in the Manchester Center & Dorset areas, shop at your local businesses, and enjoy the season as it should be spent!

Vermont is one of our favorite places in the whole country and while we’re there, we’re planning a photo shoot for Leenie's favorite food, . We’re looking for well-behaved, food-motivated dogs & their humans to participate!

Selected dogs & humans will be paid for their time and may be featured in JustFoodForDogs’ marketing. So far, we’ve seen our photos used on their website and BIG in their stores, which is so much fun!!!

Coastal Maine is one of the most special places we've ever been. The rocky shoreline, the incredible sunrises and sunsets, and wide open spaces... there's just nothing quite like it. Oh, and the lobstah rolls, of course. 🦞

When we visited Maine this summer, we were so excited to meet Archie and his mom and photograph them for JustFoodForDogs. Archie was a little shy at first but once he realized we had some seriously good stuff for him to eat, we totally became besties. 🤗

We spent the evening climbing around on the rocks, soaking up the last rays of sunshine, and trying not to fall into the Atlantic. 😆 Pretty much the perfect way to end a day in Maine! We already want to go back. ❤️

Greg and I are so grateful for this beautiful little soul every single day. She makes us laugh with her silly antics, a tail that is always wagging, the way she throws herself onto the ground to roll in something that we most certainly do not want to know what it is, her pure husky awoooos when she's ready for her walk, how she spins around and jumps for joy when we grab her food bowl to put it down for her, the way she likes to be tucked in at night... I really could keep going.

We officially adopted Leenie just over a year ago after fostering her for a few months. She was just too perfect and I absolutely sabotaged every single interaction with possible adopters, telling one family outright that the nearby adoption event had a lot of dogs looking for homes and they should go look there. 😆

I didn't make a very good foster mom... I knew she was my girl and wasn't going anywhere. 🥰

Leenie is the very best travel buddy. I think Roxy must have had a little chat with her from Heaven to teach her that being in the truck means good things and if she naps while we're driving, we'll be there sooner. Leenie has already visited 17 states and 9 National Parks with us, with 5 more planned for this year! She loves to sniff and explore all the new places and is totally at home in the Airstream.

All this to say, we lucked out with this girl. We will never be able to thank Lionel's Legacy Senior Dog Rescue and Chula Vista Animal Services enough for bringing us together. ❤️

This photo of Fergus makes me laugh every time I see it! When I tell you this boy LOVES food, I mean the second we held up this bowl of JustFoodForDogs, his eyes turned into full cartoon hearts and practically popped right out of his head with a giant awoooooga!

“I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life,” I could hear him enthusiastically thinking! He was in heaven!

Thankfully, we didn’t make him wait long before he dove in head-first. 😋

When Ouija's mom told me the story about how they came to be together, we both cried. Through unexpected encounters and extreme, heart-wrenching loss, the stage had been set for this mystical girl to come into the world.

When I saw the sun dipping behind the mountains and lighting the sky with soft golden hues during our photo shoot, I knew her images were going to be magical — but as I was editing them, I couldn't help but think about how all the ones who were loved and lost before her must have been smiling down from above. How else can one explain the incredible glow of happiness radiating from Ouija's soul?

Ouija, you are pure heaven-sent sunshine! ✨

Maine just feels different from anywhere else we’ve ever been.

Maybe it’s the dark rocky coastline, the salty air, all the little hidden coves, or the way everything feels a little wild and weathered in the best possible way... or maybe it’s just the buttery scent of lobstah rolls clouding my judgment. 🦞

Our fifth Great American Road Trip has begun... and "adventure" started less than 20 miles in. 😆🤦‍♀️
