When Faith Meets Opportunity

I often reflect on how blessed I truly am.

There was a time in my life when I was constantly chasing opportunities. I was the one making the calls, sending the emails, knocking on doors, and searching for the next chance to move forward.

Today, the story is different.

For the last few years, opportunities have been chasing me. Some I have accepted. Many I have turned down. Not because I wasn’t grateful for them, but because I’ve learned that not every opportunity is the right opportunity.

That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped chasing opportunities. If the right opportunity presents itself—one that aligns with my values, goals, and purpose—I will still pursue it with passion and determination. The difference is that today I have the ability to be selective and focus on opportunities that truly matter.

Last night, I had a conversation with a friend in Vancouver about faith, purpose, and how life changes when you trust God’s plan. We talked about how important it is to keep believing, even when you cannot see what God is preparing behind the scenes.

Then today, it happened again.

More opportunities came my way.

Moments like these remind me that God’s timing is always perfect. The opportunities didn’t appear overnight. They were built through years of faith, perseverance, hard work, setbacks, disappointments, and lessons learned.

God plays an important role in my everyday life. He guides my decisions, keeps me grounded during success, and gives me strength during challenges. When doors have closed, He has opened others. When I couldn’t see the path ahead, He provided direction.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is simple:

Believe, and you will achieve.

Believe in God. Believe in your purpose. Believe in your ability to overcome obstacles. Keep showing up, keep working, and keep trusting the process.

The opportunities you’re chasing today may one day be chasing you.

I thank God every day for His blessings, His guidance, and the incredible people He continues to place in my life.

The Signs Won’t Wait Forever

If you keep ignoring the signs…
eventually, the opportunity disappears.

Life is always speaking to us through moments, instincts, setbacks, and unexpected doors opening right in front of us. Every sign is a chance to move, grow, change, or become something greater.

But hesitation has a cost.

The longer you wait…
the louder regret becomes.

Too many people stay trapped in overthinking, fear, comfort, and doubt while life quietly moves on without them. Opportunities don’t stay open forever. Some doors close simply because we waited too long to walk through them.

Deep down, you already know what you need to do.
You’ve felt the signs.
You’ve seen the signals.
You’ve heard that voice telling you it’s time.

So take the step.
Bet on yourself.
Move before the moment passes you by.

Because one day, the risk won’t be trying…
it’ll be wishing you had.

I was visiting with my parents and was shaving upstairs and blasting some OG sounds I grew up to, the Notorious BIG playlist. Anyway, I went downstairs after shaving and showering and my dad asked me who was calling me a MF’er and I told him it’s the Notorious BIG, pops, he’s a rapper. He replied to me and asked if he was fighting with me and was about to come up stairs 😂. Mind you, my pops is 81 and still going strong. Btw Biggie Smalls and I share the same birthday.

Unwritten Gym Rule: The Dumbbell Rack Isn’t Your Workout Spot

Quick PSA from the weight floor…

If you grab dumbbells and then stand right in front of the rack to do your set, you’re basically blocking everyone else from getting their weights. It’s not the biggest deal in the world—but it is one of those small habits that separates beginners from people who understand gym etiquette.

The rack is a shared space. Grab what you need, take a few steps back, do your work, and then put them back when you’re done. Simple.

Most of the time it’s not intentional—just awareness. But respect for others in the gym goes a long way. We’re all there to get better… not wait in line.

Proud to be both a shareholder and an agent in the REAL family during one of the most exciting moments in real estate history.

My friend Tamir Poleg , founder of REAL, built something truly special—an innovative company that is changing the way real estate is done. Years ago, I told Tamir that I wanted to help him open up the Brazil 🇧🇷 market because of my deep relationships and vast network of agents there from the many years I lived and worked in Brazil. At the time, Tamir smiled and told me he’d let me know when he was ready to expand beyond North America.

Humans have developed this strange sense of entitlement—like every living creature on this planet exists for our entertainment. We see a wild animal and immediately think: “Can I touch it? Can I hold it? Can I take a selfie with it?”

No.

These animals are not props. They are not attractions. They are not here for your Instagram. They are wild—and they want to be left alone.

What’s happening in places like Roatán isn’t random. Authorities stepped in and banned the handling of sloths and other wildlife because of real issues: illegal trafficking, mistreatment, and the constant stress caused by humans passing them around like toys.

Think about that—animals being ripped from their natural habitats, forced into captivity, and handled all day just so someone can post a picture. Many don’t even survive long in those conditions.

And yet people complain.
“Why can’t I hold the sloth anymore?”

Because it’s not about you.

Honduran law now reflects something we should have understood all along: respect wildlife, don’t exploit it. You can still observe, learn, and appreciate these animals—just without invading their space or causing harm.

If your travel experience depends on touching a wild animal, then you’re missing the entire point of nature.

Respect conservation. Respect the law. Respect the animals.

Seventeen years ago today, God blessed my life with an incredible gift. Isabelle, watching you grow into the amazing young woman you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. You are smart, kind, driven, and full of limitless potential.

It’s amazing to see you now as a junior in high school with college just around the corner. It truly feels like yesterday I was holding you as a little girl, and now I’m watching you step confidently into your future.

I am beyond proud of the person you’ve become and even more excited for the woman you are continuing to grow into. No matter what path you choose, I know you will pursue it with strength, heart, and courage.
