“The strongest chapters are often written after you thought the story had already been told.”

Life has taught me that there’s always another chapter to write, another opportunity to grow, and another reason to keep moving forward. Never let where you’ve been determine how far you can still go. The best may very well be yet to come.

🎂❤️ Let us please wish my beautiful mom a very Happy 73rd Birthday today! ❤️🎂

I made sure I flew back home in time from Detroit so I could be here to celebrate her special day with my family. There are some moments you simply don’t miss, and celebrating another year of life with Mom is definitely one of them.

For her birthday, we ended up trying a new place in El Cajon called Tarbosh - مطعم طربوش We had a wonderful experience — very nice owner, welcoming staff, and great food. It was the perfect setting to sit around the table together, enjoy a meal, laugh, and celebrate the woman who means so much to all of us.

Happy 73rd Birthday, Mom! 🎉🎂❤️ May God bless you with many more years of health, happiness, love, and beautiful memories surrounded by your family. We love you! 🙏❤️

Please join me in wishing my mom a Happy Birthday! 🎈🥳

☕ NOBODY DESERVES A BAD CUP OF COFFEE!

Routine cleaning—and every so often a serious deep cleaning and descaling—of your coffee machine is extremely important. Coffee oils, grounds, residue and mineral buildup accumulate over time, and eventually you’re going to taste it in your cup.

I learned that firsthand today while visiting my parents. I had been away for about a month, and my 82-year-old dad started complaining to me that his coffee just didn’t taste right.

So, naturally, I investigated. 😂☕ And as you can see from the pictures… Dad was definitely onto something!

I took apart the removable K-Cup holder and started cleaning. The amount of old coffee residue and gunk hiding in and around that brewing area was pretty incredible. That stuff has no business contributing to your morning cup!

Then came the descaling. I didn’t have coffee-machine descaling solution handy, so I used a 50/50 mixture of plain white vinegar and water. I filled the reservoir and ran brew cycles without a K-Cup until about half of the solution had gone through. Then I turned the machine off and let the remaining solution sit for about 20–30 minutes before turning it back on and flushing the rest through.

After that, I thoroughly rinsed the reservoir, filled it with fresh water and ran 2–3 reservoirs of clean water through the machine to flush everything out and get rid of the vinegar smell and taste.

And don’t forget the K-Cup holder! Take it out, wash it thoroughly and get all that accumulated coffee gunk out of there. Just look at those paper towels in the pictures—that residue was ending up awfully close to Dad’s coffee every morning. 😳

Once everything was clean, rinsed and put back together, I made Dad a fresh cup.

Verdict from the 82-year-old coffee critic? Much better. Dad was satisfied. 😂☕❤️

Take care of your coffee maker and it’ll take care of your coffee. Because whether you’re 22 or 82, nobody deserves a bad cup of coffee!

Sky’s the Limit

“Stay far from timid. Only make moves when your heart’s in it, and live the phrase, ‘Sky’s the limit.’” — Notorious B.I.G.

The message on my shirt is about far more than music—it’s about living with purpose.

Whether you’re in the gym, building a business, raising a family, or pursuing a dream, success belongs to those who refuse to let fear dictate their future. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow stronger. Every setback is a chance to come back wiser. Every small step forward compounds into something extraordinary over time.

Don’t let doubt steal your potential. Don’t let the opinions of others become louder than your own determination. If your heart is in what you’re doing, keep moving. Stay disciplined. Stay humble. Stay hungry.

Your past doesn’t define your future. Your daily choices do.

One fun fact: I share the same birthday as Biggie—May 21.

Keep believing. Keep building. Keep lifting. And never forget…

The sky’s the limit. 💪

Back in high school, just about everyone knew me as Johnny O. Even today, the friends I’ve stayed in touch with still call me that.

Lately, though, the nickname has taken on an even more special meaning. Every time I visit my 82-year-old dad, he smiles and says, “Hey, Johnny O!” Hearing him say it never gets old. Now my mom has joined in too because she’s heard my dad call me that so many times.

Funny how a simple nickname can carry a lifetime of memories. Some names fade away, but others become part of your story.

So yes… I’m the real Johnny O! 😄

I’d love to hear from you—what nickname did your family or friends give you growing up, and does anyone still call you by it today? Share your story in the comments!

The Doctor Who Gave an Unborn Baby a Second Chance at Life

In 2016, Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, a Nigerian-born pediatric surgeon at Texas Children’s Hospital, helped lead one of the most extraordinary fetal surgeries ever performed.

At just 23 weeks of pregnancy, an unborn baby named Lynlee Hope was diagnosed with a rare, life-threatening tumor called a sacrococcygeal teratoma.

A multidisciplinary team, led in part by Dr. Olutoye, performed an incredibly delicate operation. They partially removed the baby from the womb while she remained connected to the placenta, removed most of the tumor, and then carefully returned her to the uterus so the pregnancy could continue.

Thirteen weeks later, at 36 weeks, Lynlee was born healthy. She later underwent a second surgery to remove the remaining tumor and has gone on to thrive.

This remarkable story is a testament to what faith, innovation, teamwork, and modern medicine can achieve when they come together to fight for life before birth.

Sometimes the people you meet in the most unexpected places remind you that what you wear tells a story.

Today, in the heart of San Diego… Padres territory, a complete stranger looked at me, pointed at my shirt and shouted:

“Brazil???” 🇧🇷

Then he looked up at my cap…

“Detroit?” 🐅

I smiled and explained why.

I wear Brazil because it’s much more than football to me. I lived there for years. I built lifelong friendships there. My girlfriend is Brazilian. Brazil shaped my appreciation for coffee and gave me experiences that forever changed my life.

And the Detroit Tigers hat?

Simple. I was made in Detroit. It’s where my story began. Even though I was raised in San Diego, I never really connected with the Padres. Detroit has always remained part of who I am.

Some people think they need an explanation for why you support a certain team, country, or city.

The truth is… you don’t.

Our experiences shape our loyalties. Our journeys shape our identities. None of us owes the world an explanation for the people, places, or cultures that leave a lasting mark on our hearts.

Brazil may have been eliminated from the World Cup, but my respect and affection for the country didn’t disappear with one match. Some connections go far beyond the scoreboard.

Wear what means something to you. Support what inspires you. Be unapologetically yourself.

🇲🇽 ¡Vamos México! 🇲🇽

Today, all my support is with El Tri as they take on England in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16. This is one of the biggest matches in Mexican football history, and I believe this team has the heart, talent, and determination to rise to the occasion.

Mexico has always been known for its passionate supporters, technical style of play, and relentless fighting spirit. Every tackle, every run, and every goal will carry the hopes of millions of fans across Mexico and around the world.

England is a formidable opponent, but World Cup matches are won by belief, discipline, and seizing the big moments. Here’s hoping Mexico plays fearless football, attacks with confidence, and earns its place in the quarterfinals.

Brazil’s World Cup is over, and this heartbreaking exit falls squarely on the shoulders of Carlo Ancelotti.

How do you take one of the most gifted attacking nations in football history and tell them to sit back, surrender possession, and hope for counterattacks? That isn’t Brazil. That isn’t Jogo Bonito.

The most baffling decision of all? Leaving Neymar on the bench for most of the match despite being declared fit. By the time he entered, Brazil was already chasing the game. You don’t leave one of the greatest playmakers of his generation watching from the sidelines in a World Cup Round of 16 match.

Then came the missed opportunities. Bruno Guimarães failed to convert an early penalty. Endrick missed a golden one-on-one chance. Brazil lacked urgency, creativity, and conviction for far too long.

Meanwhile, Norway deserved every bit of this victory. Erling Haaland did what world-class strikers do—he punished every mistake. The Vikings stayed disciplined, dictated the tempo, and struck when it mattered most. Their 2-1 victory was earned through organization, resilience, and clinical finishing.

This Brazilian squad is far too talented to be eliminated because of an overly cautious tactical approach. When you hand control of the match to your opponent, eventually you pay the price—and Brazil did.

In my opinion, Brazil should move on from Carlo Ancelotti and find a manager who embraces the fearless, attacking identity that has made the Seleção one of the greatest football nations in history.

Congratulations to Norway! 🇳🇴 The Vikings skewered Brazil and earned their place in the quarterfinals. Best of luck the rest of the tournament—you’ve made your nation proud.
