📣 We are excited to announce Coach Clark and Coach Kimmy as our 15-1’s coaches for the Girl’s 26-27 season.
✍️COACH CLARK
Coach Clark has been with us at 949 since 2017. During that time, he’s been a head coach on multiple top boys and girls teams. Most recently, he coached our 14-1’s to a 3rd-place finish at the Salt Lake City National Qualifier and a 3rd-place finish in the AAU Nationals Sapphire Division.
Clark currently competes in professional grass and beach tournaments, winning his last three grass events. He played football throughout his childhood until high school and didn’t pick up volleyball until he was 20. Entirely self-taught, he earned his AAA pro beach rating at just 23 years old. His first year of indoor volleyball was in 2017 at Orange Coast College, where he earned the starting opposite position. After two years at OCC, he received a scholarship to continue his career at the University of Jamestown, where he was a two-time First Team All-Conference athlete. Coach Clark is a true testament to what hard work and dedication can help you achieve.
✍️COACH KIMMY
Coach Kimmy is a Laguna Niguel native who played at Aliso Niguel High School before continuing her career and playing Division 1 indoor volleyball at Baylor University where she was a 4-year starter, Defensive Specialist. There, she made two NCAA Tournament appearances with her team, including Baylor’s first ever appearance. This will be her fifth year at 949, last year also helping our 14-1’s to take 3rd place in Salt Lake City and at AAU’s. In her spare time, you’ll also find her coaching the girl’s volleyball program at Dana Hills High School. We can’t wait for another incredible year with Coach Kimmy!
