It is with a heavy heart that we made the decision to cancel our May 16th Heroes on the Water Coastal Bend event due to unsafe wind conditions forecasted to persist throughout the morning.

After reviewing multiple weather intelligence sources, the forecast showed sustained winds near 19 mph with gusts up to 25 mph through the duration of the event. These conditions would have created an unsafe environment on the water and led to survival‑focused paddling rather than the therapeutic experience we strive to provide. As always, the safety of our participants is our highest priority, and conditions such as these are not conducive to our mission:

It has snuck up on us, 🤪 Our on the Water event is May 16th‼️️, but you already knew that. 😎 Registration Event Forms will be emailed to all those that are registered with our chapter, all Participants and Volunteers 👊👏 If you're not registered with our chapter and you would like to be, simply email us at [email protected].

Event Registration Forms will be emailed May 4th. The deadline to register is May 13th @ 2000hrs. It's first come, first served‼️️ Not to forget, there are two waivers involved, after you register. 🤔

We're planning on another great outing, rehabilitating and reintegrating our heroes through kayak fishing and the outdoors. 🫡

MAY 16TH EVENT! Just a friendly reminder that registration is open for this on the water kayak fishing adventure. Deadline to register is May 13th @ 2000hrs. Volunteers are always welcome! All those registered with our chapter have been emailed our Event Registration Form, if you didn't see it check your spam folder, they sometimes go there.
