The Los Santos County Sheriff (LSCS), sometimes referred to as the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department (LSSD), is a law enforcement agency that serves Los Santos County, San Andreas (including Blaine County). The Los Santos County Sheriff provides general-service law enforcement to unincorporated areas of Los Santos County, serving as the equivalent of the county police for unincorporated areas

of the county, as well as incorporated cities within the county who have contracted with the agency for law-enforcement services (known as "contract cites"). The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) contract with the Sheriff's Department to provide additional local police protection. These cities range in population from 800 to 177,000, and in size from 1 to 100 square miles. The LSCS also holds primary jurisdiction over facilities operated by Los Santos County, such as local parks, marinas and government buildings. LSCS provides bailiff service for the Superior Court of Los Santos County. LSCS operates the county jail system, provides services such as crime laboratories, homicide investigations, and academy training, to smaller law enforcement agencies within the county. The Los Santos County Sheriff is also the second largest transit police force in the nation, aside from the LCPD, through policing contracts of the Metro trains and buses of the Los Santos Metropolitan Transportation Authority Furthermore, with policing contracts with nine campuses of the Los Santos Community College and San Andreas Community College District (Los Santos Campus). The department's headquarters are in Sandy Shores and Paleto Bay

Last night, our officers attended a gas leak at a parking garage in the central Los Santos area. Officers first on scene noticed several people had become incapacitated from the gas. Officers were able to remove those people, render first aid until Paramedics arrived. Excellent work by our officers!
