I would like to invite everyone to a presentation by Jesse Williams about his experience racing the 2017 XALPS. It will be held Saturday April 21st (after the afternoon flying session) at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus from 8-10pm. In the MPDC (Professional Development Center) Room 213. Administration is free. Refreshments may be provided. He will give a presentation and have a Q and A afterwards. Please let me know if you will be attending so we can get a rough head count and know if we will need a larger room. Jesse was sponsored by Skywalk paragliders and it just so happens that Arne Wehrlin (one of the owners of Skywalk) will be attending as well! Thank you and see you there!

The Chili 4 is almost finally here! The perfectionists at Skywalk didn't want to release the completely redone Chili until it was perfectly finished. New things: more durable weight of fabric, Ronstan pulleys for smoother speed bar, more unsheathed lines for better glide, shark nose for more stability, 3D shaping on lower surface of leading edge to eliminate vibration. Also, contrary to previous reports and speculation, this chili will be more docile and less demanding to fly than its predecessor the Chili 3. Yet the performance, handling, and speed are higher. It's fast:)

Fledgling Skywalkers at West Mountain. What started out as one of our most frustrating mornings there (chasing the wind all over the place)... turned into one of our best mornings there with guys getting up to cloud base almost! Patience prevailed. Way to go!

Hi All, Hal and I are going to Valle de Bravo, Mexico December 1-6th. If any of our past students would like to join us please let me know. It will be the shoulder season there, so it won't be so crowded and thermals will be more mellow. We will have a guiding fee but haven't quite figured what it'll be yet. Nominal at any rate.
