I made this image as a way to remember & process some basics I learned in my first lesson. My way.

Having a creative block?

Step away from your craft for a bit and try getting into something new.

Every new creative endeavor I embark on finds a way of feeding the others in such a symbiotic way.

Something about immersing into other worlds previously inaccessible to my minds understanding and exploring new perspectives always keeps me open and inspired. I promise it works.

I call it “indirect inspiration” or sometimes “indirect learning” -

Where one things informs the other -

Where something new you’re doing strikes the genius in your and helps something else entirely click into place.

I also feel like you could take all of these things and represent it on this visual and it would make sense.

All my mediums in the outer circles, me as the artist in the center.

All of the hats we have to juggle as artists in the outer circles, with us as business owners in the center.

All of the outside forces of the human experience, with inspiration in the center.

The list goes on.

I know I say this a lot but if you’re feeling stuck, it might be time to shake things up.
Try something new. Or atleast try it in a new way.

Who cares if you fall? It’s part of the fun of trying.
Who cares what people think? This is your one wild life.

Do whatever the f**k you want.

Right now for me, ima do this. Curious to see where it all ends up but at the end of the day it’s these moments that make it worth it.

“Let me grow” 🌱 | Artober: Day 11

Going back to basics lately as I work on adding a new tool to my kit, the ins & outs of procreate.

Wanting to bring my wild visions into the world but forcing discipline on myself to be patient and get to know this new medium.

It’s been both challenging, beautiful and humbling starting back at the beginning.
Planting seeds & watering them daily 💧

A lot of artists wouldn’t be willing to show you new works in the very beginning stages.. I embrace it.

I’m only human, I have to work at this constantly to improve. I’m learning & I believe the evolution of the craft is as important as the end result.

I’m also super passionate about YOU knowing you create whatever you want into this world.

One seed at a time -

Today I followed Ellie Paiseley’s artober prompt 🐝

I’m trying to challenge myself with procreate more & more.
I’ve definitely been a busy bee.

Today I focused on composition, a limited color palette, trying features I haven’t used yet and creating something start to finish in one day.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings 🌻
