I had a scrap piece of walnut butcher block left over from a project and I gave my buddy over at

I was just expecting a walnut butcher block board like I took him. But no! He made this awesome end grain. Walnut butcher block and put these really cool boat cleats as handles. It also has a extra deep juice groove. So happy with how this turned out.

Cotton gin drum smoker is back home!

Two years ago I sold this old girl to clear some space, even though I didn’t really want to. The guy who bought it put it to good use. I’d see it at competitions and on social media.

Now he’s clearing space too and offered it back.

I just launched my small batch hot sauce company, Backwater Heatworks.

Two sauces to start:

Cayenne & Pepper
Cayenne based with layered pepper flavor. Medium heat. Built for eggs, pizza, wings, tacos, and anything you put hot sauce on.

Jalapeño Citrus
Fresh jalapeño with a bright citrus pop. Clean heat and a smooth finish. Great on seafood, chicken, tacos, and rice bowls.

Both are flavor first sauces made for everyday use.
