Vinyl repairs can be difficult to do. Things to look for: 1)Is there enough material to make a new seam? 2)Is the vinyl still soft and pliable? In this case, there was enough of the cream vinyl if a new piece of the burgundy was added and made wider than the original. The cream colored vinyl was still pliable and soft. If either of these conditions hadn’t been met, the seat would have to be recovered.
Note- tape is a temporary fix but a cleaning fee will be added because it has to be removed before sewing over.
Call Colby’s Custom Covers for your boat covers or seats. We make complete covers, seat covers and will recover or repair vinyl seats. We are currently booking June appointments.
