You know a lot of people ask me how I get so many really great cruise offers from Carnival (22 days from Seattle to Australia for only $674pp including gratuities or 15 days from Barcelona, Spain to Galveston, Texas for $550 pp including gratuities or the latest deal, 15-day Eastern Carribbean in an ocean view cabin for $350pp including gratuities). I explain that it wasn't always like this, but I learned quickly that if you go on a cruise, no matter how short or long, you've got to spend at least a little bit of time and money in the casino. Carnival (as does all other cruise lines) keeps track of your time in the casino and how much you spend - and you really don't have to spend that much to get the future perks. Once you've cruised and spent a little time in the casino, you become qualified for special casino deals, and some of those deals are almost too good to be true!! I assure you however, that the deals are real!! Now, I book almost all of my cruises based on the casino deals I find. When I realized this way back when, I started visiting the casino on every night of the cruise and gambled at least $20 per day. Not that much -- but of course sometimes more -- just like I did in regular casinos and guess what? I started getting all those casino deals! Now, as a travel advisor, I always ask if people have sailed on Carnival before and if so, did they gamble -- then I am able to find the great deals for them as well. And if you don't mind inside cabins, the deals are even better! But know that ocean view and balcony cabin rates on casino deals can also save you at least 50% (sometimes even more) off regular listed rates.
So, for first timers who want to cruise, I can get you a fair price on an inside cabin and will encourage you to gamble a little, then the next time you cruise I'll be able to get the better deals. If you already love to spend time on the water and don't mind gambling a bit, I'm sure I can find you a great deal in whatever cabin you want. Just remember, you must stay flexible on where/when you go; the more flexible you are, the more deals there will be to choose from.
For you high rollers out there -- you shouldn't ever have to pay for a cruise because Carnival wants you on board! I met a gentleman on my Great Australian Adventure who reported he hasn't paid for a cruise in 10 years but cruises at least 4 times a year. At this point Carnival offers him so many perks they are practically paying him to board their ships.
Let me help you be a lifelong cruiser who gets the best deals in the industry!!

BTW - I went on one 4-day cruise on Norwegian earlier this year, spent about $300 in the casino; and I just booked a special offer they sent me: 7-day Eastern Caribbean on their newest and biggest ship, the Luna, for two that includes paid entry into their big slot tournament, a specialty restaurant dinner for two ($120 value), 150 mins each of wi-fi, $200 onboard spending, and entry into their 60th Anniversary party with the Captain -- my cost: $460 TOTAL for two people! You can't rent a hotel room that cheap!! BAM!
