This cannabis drought is no joke. The number of licensed recreational cannabis stores in California is far short of what’s needed to adequately supply the market. Only 70 of the state’s 482 cities allow adult-use retail stores. This is hindering so many of our friends in the industry with the licensing and testing backlogs. We do want to encourage you all to hang in there. We've also been providing ample feedback to the many agencies affecting licensing and compliance. We're also working diligently to handle the backlog of demands and thank you all for being patient. Take a look at this chart and see how significantly we are all impacted in California.

** With all the losses from the fire and product recalls, we want to focus today's post on insurance. ** Last week, the California Insurance Commissioner announced three more insurance carriers to offer coverage for the cannabis industry in the California.
With testing and recalls, consider protecting yourself with product liability and recall. This provides product liability and product recall coverage against claims arising from commercial cannabis activity for licensed businesses in California.
We are not endorsing any insurance companies or making claims of coverage as each insurance policy has numerous criteria and risk factors. But we are advocating for this industry to be more aware of what's generally offered to businesses throughout the state to protect their investments and assets.
