🚌🌈 July 21st Freedom Ride... and what a beautiful journey it was. 🐾💞

As we looked around, we couldn't help but smile. Every crate held a precious life. Every pair of eyes was trusting us to carry them safely toward a brand new chapter.💓

Some were on their way to loving adopters. Some to wonderful fosters. Others to rescues that opened their hearts and said, "We'll take it from here."

No matter where they were headed, they all had one thing in common...

Hope was waiting for them at the end of the road. 🩵🙏🏽

To every rescue, foster, adopter, volunteer, and supporter who made this Freedom Ride possible... thank you. We are endlessly grateful to share in these incredible journeys and to witness so many new beginnings.

To our sweet passengers 🐶... thank you for trusting us with your journey. We hope and pray your days ahead are filled with warm beds, gentle hands, happy tails, and all the love you deserve.

🐾🚌 JULY PACIFIC NORTHWEST RESCUE TRANSPORT 🚌🐾

California ➡️ Northern California ➡️ Oregon ➡️ Washington

✨ If enough pups are scheduled, we're happy to extend our route into Northeast Oregon/Washington near the Idaho border to help even more rescues.

Every transport we make is about one thing... saving lives. ❤️‍🩹

Since we started, we've volunteered our time, our bus, and our resources to help rescued pups reach the next chapter of their lives. Whenever possible, we've even donated transport for a few pups on every run so rescues facing financial hardship still have a chance to save another life.

As many of you know, the cost of everything continues to rise; fuel, maintenance, insurance, repairs, and supplies. Our heart has always been to keep transport as affordable as possible for the rescue community, and we're doing everything we can to continue that.

The biggest way you can help... is by helping us fill every transport spot. 🐾

Every pup onboard helps cover a portion of the journey, allowing us to continue running consistent transports, keep contributions affordable, and continue offering a helping hand whenever we're able.

If you're a rescue, shelter networker, foster, advocate, or adopter, please help us spread the word. Every share has the potential to fill another crate. Every filled crate helps keep our wheels turning and helps another precious pup make it safely home. 🏡💜

Our Chiko’s Pawz On Wheelz Love Bus ❣️🚌❣️ is heading north from San Bernardino, CA to Oregon & Washington with our final stop in Burlington, WA! 💜🐾

🗓️ June 4th → Arrive June 5th
🗓️ June 19th → Arrive June 20th

We can accommodate pickups and drop-offs along our main route in either direction 🛣️

✨ We are volunteer transporters passionate about helping rescued pups get a second chance at life. Every trip is made possible through shared contributions that help cover fuel, crates, supplies, care, and travel expenses while we help these babies reach safety and their forever homes 💕

🐶 All breeds and sizes welcome!
🚫 No overcrowding
🛏️ Every pup rides safely in an appropriately sized crate
🐾 Bonded pairs, families, and littermates may share when appropriate

📍 Please remember:
⭐ Receivers must be ready at arrival — we do not hold pups overnight
⭐ Pickups and handoffs should remain close to our route to minimize stress on the pups
⭐ Pups must be healthy to protect everyone onboard

There have been rumors about a recent transport involving Promise 4 Paws, & we want to share our side with facts.

Our team successfully completed the primary mission: all dogs were safely delivered to their destinations. Every dog arrived without issue.

On the return trip, we were stopped by law enforcement & advised that continuing to operate the vehicle could expose us to licensing issues. We took that seriously & immediately communicated our concerns.

We requested a written agreement to clarify liability. That request was declined. We were then directed by the rescue to leave the vehicle at a specified location for recovery by their team.

We followed those instructions exactly. The bus was secured, all items were returned, & MOST IMPORTANTLY no dogs were left behind. Any claim suggesting otherwise is FALSE.

We would never abandon a pup. Everything we do is rooted in the principle of love, compassion, & the belief that every rescue dog deserves dignity and care.

Our decision to stop driving was based on safety & legal concerns, including potential impact on our driving records & our ability to continue helping transport rescue dogs in the future.

Chiko’s Pawz On Wheelz focuses on dogs that are often overlooked, large breeds & those needing extra care. Our mission has never been about profit, but about helping where it’s needed most.

We participated in this transport in good faith, despite prior concerns, hoping for a better experience this time around. Unfortunately, that was not the case, & the situation escalated into misinformation and commitments not being honored by this rescue.

We have full documentation of all communication, instructions, & the condition of the vehicle at drop-off, including proof the bus was EMPTY and secured.

We wouldn't have made this public if misinformation had not been shared. We believe in TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY. We remain committed to ethical, safe transport & to the pups we serve.
