With a busy weekend at the lake approaching, here are a few things to keep in mind 👇

🚗 The boat launch and main parking lot at the North Shore are currently CLOSED
🚗 All parking areas are OPEN on the South Shore
⛱️ The South Shore gets fewer visitors and has flush toilets, a beach, boat rentals, concessions, and a pet swim area!
🌞 Consider coming a little earlier or a little later in the day to avoid the crowds
🥾 Looking for a quieter hiking experience? Consider hiking the Roznos Meadow Trail or Uplands Trail!
🌿 Please be patient and kind with your fellow visitors and park staff
🚨 In the case of an emergency, always call 911 first. It's the fastest way to reach help in the park.

A Request for Proposals (RFP) is now open for design and engineering plans covering the Great Sauk State Trail extension at Devil's Lake State Park and the Baraboo Spur. Qualified consultants have been invited to submit proposals, and nine consultants have indicated an expression of interest, which is an amazing response! Once the proposals are received, the Wisconsin DNR, City of Baraboo, and Sauk County will jointly evaluate and score the submissions to select the best consulting partner for the project.
