DRONE INCURSIONS: There have been multiple drone incursions in the area. This has forced us to ground our aircraft and stop air operations supporting the firefight.

Interfering with firefighting operations may result in criminal charges, which could include jail time. Please be respectful of those working to fight fire and the people in our community who are impacted by fire. NEVER fly your drones near a wildfire.

Do not fly drones near the Wildlife.

CAL FIRE and our cooperators strongly discourage anyone from flying a UAS (Uncrewed Aircraft Systems) in or near a wildland fire. Flying a drone near a wildfire can be extremely dangerous to pilots and aircraft in the immediate area. Valuable firefighting aircraft can be grounded due to these actions, impeding the chance to quickly extinguish a fire. Yesterday on the Line Fire, there were 2 separate drone incursions into the fire area. These actions not only endanger lives but can carry severe penalties for the individuals responsible. Always remember, if you fly, we can’t.

I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to witness the promotion ceremony of the exceptional cadets from Redlands Cadet Squadron 411. Their resilience, dedication, leadership, and heart for service are truly inspiring. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the cadets and my deepest appreciation to the Civil Air Patrol staff and parents whose support has been invaluable in shaping these young leaders. These cadets are not just the leaders of their peers today; they are the leaders of tomorrow, and our future is brighter because of them.
