Big Moose Moving

It was another GREAT DAY TO MOVE WITH THE MOOSE! 🫎💪

Today's move was a little different!

The task: Move roughly 50 boxes, some yard tools, and 8 large pieces of woodworking equipment, including a bandsaw and table saw.

The challenge: Much of the woodworking equipment was located around the house and down in the crawl space. A few pieces were HEAVY and required some serious grit to carry a long distance to the truck.

We came prepared with the right equipment to make things easier, but that didn't mean it was easy! 💪

Luckily, everything was going straight into the garage at the new location, making the unload a breeze!

We like the tough stuff. 🫎💪

Heavy piece? Bring it.

Three flights of stairs? Let’s get to work.

Long day? Keep moving.

There’s a simple philosophy behind Big Moose: don’t waste energy complaining about the challenge. Put that energy into overcoming it.

Hint: The Big Moose is fast, efficient, and friendly.

Moving is stressful enough as it is. And let’s face it, moving is hard work.

That’s why we show up prepared. We show up with great teamwork and communication. And most importantly, we show up with a great attitude.

When you combine those things, something happens naturally: the stress starts to disappear, and the move becomes a much better experience.

Are you worried about your upcoming move?

I’ve been compared to Mr. Rogers. I’ve been called a retired football coach. Some people have even told me I should be a radio host.

What do these things have in common?

Clear, calm communication.

Communication is one of our core values at Big Moose, and there’s a very good reason for it.

Strong, respectful communication is the foundation of great teamwork and essential to our success. We believe in listening, speaking clearly, and keeping our team and our clients informed.

When everyone is on the same page, we work better, solve problems faster, and provide a better moving experience.

I actually go so far as to ask my team to keep joking around to a minimum on the job. What one person considers harmless can easily be misinterpreted by someone else.

Moving is tough. It can be stressful, exhausting, and emotional. Respectful communication helps us maintain a positive attitude and positive morale, even when the job gets difficult.

So I make sure to speak to everyone on my team with clarity, respect, and calm.

Because when your moving crew communicates exceptionally well, it doesn't just make for a better team.

It makes for a better move.

How much better do you think your moving experience would be with a crew that communicates at a high level?

This is the Big Moose Way. 🫎
