👕Enjoying my Friday at work wearing one of my favorite T-shirts from Iceland. One of my awesome local guides explained that in 2010 the reporters who came to Iceland to report on the eruption 🌋of ‘Eyjafjallajokull’ could not pronounce it and so they nicknamed it ‘E15’ after the E and the 15 letters following it.

Now, I’m just reminiscing and dreaming of the time when I can go back to Iceland…

Awww! I met up with a client who had recently returned from their trip to Ireland and brought me back this sweet little book- which is now on display in my office!

Just between La Romana and San Pedro de Macorís is one of the Dominican Republic‘s most fascinating hidden treasures -Cueva de la Maravillas.
This is a spectacular underground world filled with incredible limestone, formations, stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient Taino rock art.

Inside the cave are hundreds of Taino pictographs and petroglyphs believed to be approximately 500 to 800 years old, (!) which is a truly remarkable glimpse into the spiritual and cultural world of the island’s indigenous people.

Fun fact- the drawings that look like flower faces represent the sun.
